Low-carbon Optimal Scheduling of Regional Integrated Energy System Considering Multi-energy Flexibility Complementarity

The electricity-gas-heat regional energy system (RIES) possesses abundant flexibility resources and has the potential to address challenges of high penetration of renewable energy and low-carbon requirements. Therefore, this paper proposes a low-carbon optimal low-carbon model for RIES considering multi-energy complementarity flexibility. The flexible ramping capacity of devices is analyzed, and an operating model of multi-energy coupling devices is constructed considering multi-energy flexibility supply margins. Then, the carbon trading cost is incorporated into the operating cost of RIES, and a low-carbon scheduling model of RIES considering the flexibility supply and demand constraints is constructed with the objective of minimizing the operation cost. The final computational results demonstrate that the proposed scheduling model effectively improves system flexibility and reduces carbon emissions of RIES by coordinating outputs of multi-energy coupling devices.
