Vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication is essential in contemporary transportation systems, enabling vehicle interactions and playing a crucial role in advancing vehicular safety and autonomous operations. As V2V becomes increasingly integral to modern transportation ecosystems, the issue of radio frequency interference in congested traffic scenarios is a concern.In order to address the issue, we introduce priority-MPTCP, a multipath data transfer protocol designed specifically for V2V communications. This approach employs a hybrid communication scheme integrating visible light (leveraging vehicle-mounted lights) and traditional wireless technologies. Through simulations, we demonstrate the effectiveness of priority-MPTCP in maintaining application Quality of Service (QoS) while minimizing reliance on wireless communication channels.
