Gain-Phase Errors Self-Calibration Based on the Polarization Uniform Line Array

In order to address the gain-phase errors with orthogonal polarization uniform line array (ULA) in the actual direction finding environment, a gain-phase errors self-calibration method based on the least-squares method is proposed in this paper. Firstly, combine with the idea of the least squares method to process the mathematical derivation by using the rotational invariance between the subarrays; then through the auxiliary array elements with the consistent gain-phase characteristic, the target minimization problem is transformed into a linearly constrained optimization problem, and the gain-phase errors coefficients of the array are obtained; finally, the direction of arrival (DOA) and polarization parameters of the incident signals are obtained. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
