摘要
A new species of canestriniid mite belonging to the genus Ciprusenia Haitlinger, 2022 is described based on the morphological characteristics of male, female, tritonymph, protonymph and larva life stages. It is the sixth species of this genus and was collected from Blaps bushirensis Kaszab, 1959 (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae) on the surface soil of Sahlak Cave (Fars, Iran). The genus Ciprusenia is a new record for the Astigmata fauna Iran and the host species is a new host record for the family Canestriniidae. In this study, descriptions are carried out in detailed line drawings and scanning electron microscopic images. The identification key to the world-known species of the genus is also provided.
