Design and Simulation Beam-Wave Interactions of 263GHz Extended Interaction Klystron For Dynamic Nuclear Polarization

摘要
The 263 GHz extended interaction klystron (EIK) based on “Pre-Bunch”(PB) cavity structure is proposed in this paper. Compared with the conventional EIK design, the PB-cavity structured EIK has higher electron interaction efficiency. The results of 3-D particle-in-cell (PIC) simulation shows that with the voltage and the current are 22.56kV and 0.15A, respectively the output power is over 32 W and 3dB bandwidth is 320MHz.
