Implementation of a Temperature Sensor Made with Linqstat for Automotive Applications

The paper proposes the use of the Linqstat material as a temperature sensor, inserted into a support and then used to monitor the temperature in the engine compartment of a vehicle. First, some aspects related to temperature sensors with conductive film are reviewed. The steps leading to the creation of some types of temperature sensors with Linqstat are presented. A comparative analysis of two experimental models aimed at verifying the properties of the dedicated car sensor is made. The possibility of building dedicated temperature sensors for a certain temperature range with various applications is noted. Finally, the subsequent approach to the method and location of the sensor in the engine compartment and other areas where it is necessary to monitor the temperature in the indicated range is shown.
