摘要
Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) affects 42.6 per 100,000 people in the United States and is the leading genetic, and fourth overall, contributor to end-stage renal disease (1). Patients with ADPKD need close monitoring to assess the utility of medical therapy (i.e., tolvaptan treatment) and progression of the disease. Importantly, manual segmentation and current techniques to assist in labeling height-adjusted total kidney volume (htTKV) have high inter-reader variability. The use of an automated, or semi-automated, algorithm that can reduce the inter-reader variability and produce accurate, timely htTKV measurements can significantly enhance both patient and clinician experiences.
