摘要
The generation of non-diffracting beams often requires solving complex partial differential equations, e.g., Maxwell's equations or Schro center dot dinger equation. This poses a significant challenge when it comes to developing new types of non-diffracting beams. In this study, we propose a general phase transfer function that can be used with a spatial light modulator (SLM) in a high numerical aperture (NA) system to generate a family of nondiffracting light beams. Using this approach, we have successfully generated a self-rotating quasi-non-diffracting beam based on the general phase transfer function. We have conducted numerical simulations to study the performance of these self-rotating quasi-non-diffracting beams, which have shown unique features, such as selfrotation and independent control of waist diameter and depth of focus. These features have the potential to advance various applications, including optical imaging and manipulation of biological targets, optical fabrication, and optical communication.
