Osteopetrosis with Unusual Finding of Missing Mental Foramen and Narrowing of Inferior Alveolar nerve Canal on CT: A Case Report

This case report presents a rare occurrence of osteopetrosis combined with missing mental foramen and bilateral narrowing of inferior alveolar nerve canal. Osteopetrosis, also known as “marble bone disease”, is a rare genetic disorder characterized by abnormal bone density due to impaired osteoclast function. In this patient’s case, the missing mental foramen and narrowing of the inferior alveolar canal further complicate the condition, leading to potential neurological and dental implications. This report describes the radiographic findings, multidisciplinary treatment approach, and management of patient with complex disease progression and symptoms.
