High-stability, high-power diode-pumped mode-locked laser with a novel

We demonstrate a high-stability, high-power mode-locked laser that utilizes a novel N51-type Nd: glass. A maximum continuous-wave (CW) output power of 824 mW was obtained at a pump power of 2.4 W. Under mode-locked conditions, an average power of 604 mW was achieved with a pulse duration of 308 fs at a repetition rate of 105.383 MHz, corresponding to a pulse energy of 5.73 nJ. Owing to the optimized cavity structure, the oscillator showed excellent stability in both the output powers and spectra. In addition, the multipulse operation in relation to the CW breakthrough in the spectrum was investigated.
