P123: Donor-cell Derived Hematological Neoplasm: Case Presentations of a Complex and Rare Event
Genetics in Medicine Open(2024)
Abstract
Allogenic stem cell transplants (allo-SCT) are a common treatment option for hematological neoplasms. Despite being a routine treatment modality, it can result in complications such as Graft Versus Host Disease (GVHD) or relapse of the disease of origin. A less well documented adverse outcome of allo-SCT is donor-cell derived hematological neoplasm (DCHN) which can cause considerable disruption in patient care. The following case presentations highlight the heterogeneity of DCHN and possible roadblocks in confirming this phenomenon in patients post allo-SCT.
