Extracellular Particles from Equine Milk

Abstract: Equine and bovine milk extracellular particles were investigated by scanning electron microscopy, interferometric light microscopy and flow cytometry. Scanning electron microscopy revealed micro-sized globular particles and numerous nano-sized particles. Higher concentration of micro and nano-sized particles was found in skimmed milk when compared to the whole milk and the differences were statistically significant.
