摘要
The duodenum represents the second most common localization for diverticula in the gastrointestinal tract, after the colon. In most cases, they are asymptomatic or present with non-specific and mild symptoms and, therefore, they are often incidentally discovered. Perforation of duodenal diverticulum (DD) is a rare and potentially lethal complication, representing a challenging condition. The optimal clinical management is still a matter of debate in the literature. We present two patients with DD perforation, presenting with different clinical and radiological features, who underwent surgical treatment. We aimed to describe the different clinical presentations and radiological diagnostic sensitivity. Moreover, a brief critical review of the literature was performed and discussed.
