摘要
A novel design of UHF/S dual-band shared-aperture feed antenna for satellite application is presented in this letter. The proposed antenna adopts a stacked configuration, including an UHF-band element on the bottom layer and 4×4 S-band elements on the upper layer. The UHF and S band element are two different ME dipole antennas. The port isolations between different elements at UHF and S band are high. Simulated and measured results demonstrate that the proposed antenna can exhibit good impedance matching, low coupling, circular polarization and stable radiation pattern in the frequency band of 300MHz∼400MHz and 1.9GHz∼2.3GHz. With only one reflector on the satellite, the proposed dual-band feed can not only generate both UHF-band and S-band multi-beam coverages, but also save the space and weight significantly. In addition, the proposed antenna has the characteristics of simple structure, high reliability and high power handling, which has a broad application in satellite mobile communication.
