摘要
This study introduces an dual mode microwave methodology designed for the detection of diseases within the human body, leveraging a novel non-invasive electromagnetic (EM) sensor. The technique centers around the utilization of a distinct square shaped slotted resonator affixed to a grounded substrate, coupled with a microwave signal characterized by two distinct resonant modes. When abnormalities are present in a patient’s brain tissue they induce alterations in the reflection coefficient corresponding to each of these two resonant modes. The reliability of this approach is substantiated through comprehensive theoretical analysis and thorough empirical investigations. Specifically, two resonant frequencies—2.38 GHz and 8.48 GHz are employed to pinpoint two distinct types of abnormalities within the human brain. This compact, single-layered non-invasive EM sensor enables the simultaneous tracking of abnormalities in brain such as Alzheimer’s disease and glioma.
