摘要
Abstract A number of potentially stressful factors have been reported among medical undergraduates. These include a highly stressful environment, competitiveness, excessive workload, sleep deprivation. A substantial number of studies have established that medical education does not provide a favourable environment for the mental health and wellbeing of medical students. The stressful factors accompanying the stringent educational process prevent medical doctors from acquiring the necessary personal and professional qualities to provide high-quality patient care. Our study, described as part of this chapter, aimed to investigate the main stress factors and mental health problems among medical students in Georgia. Interventions aiming to improve the wellbeing of medical students have been suggested.
