A new experiment on 19F(p, )16O reaction at low energies and the spectroscopy of 20Ne at large excitation energies

In these proceedings, we present new data for the p + F-19 reaction, obtained for the F-19(p, alpha(0))O-16(gs) and F-19(p, alpha(pi))O-16(6.05) channels. The experiment was performed at the Singletron accelerator in Catania, with proton beam energies in the 1.1-1.3 and 1.6-1.7 MeV energy regions. This allowed us to provide new data for the alpha(pi) channel around 1.3 MeV projectile energy and to shed light on the ambiguities existing between previous data sets in the absolute value and in the peak shape of a particular resonance, in the alpha(0) channel, at around 1.6 MeV projectile energy.
