The high-voltage cascaded energy storage system can improve the overall operation efficiency of the energy storage system because it does not use transformers but directly connects to the medium and high-voltage power grid. As an excellent technical route for future energy storage, there are still some difficulties in the design of fire protection. As used in high-voltage environments, high-voltage cascaded energy storage system needs more complex fire protection designs, such as material insulation and shorter response time. To solve the problem of delayed response of traditional schemes, the integrated fire detection system with the smallest unit of battery module bit is proposed. At the same time, the hierarchical warning strategy is used to monitor and warn the whole process of fire occurrence, and the multi-level fire extinguishing system is used to ensure rapid and thorough fire elimination. In view of the key technical problems of the high-voltage cascade battery system, the corresponding improvement measures are proposed. Compared with the traditional scheme, the safety, reliability, efficiency, and completion rate have been significantly improved, and the actual experiment has been verified.
