Tehlike, Afet, Felaket: Kader Toplumunda Risk Yönetimi

Thıs paper argues that there has been a shift from a risk society that recognizes dangers and disasters are unavoidable in modern industrial societies and recommends actions for mitigation and harm reduction, to a fate society where dangers are conceived as everyday realities, disasters commonplace and catastrophes inevitable, The paper argues that this new "disaster consciousness" is the product of the general and systematic collapse of social and political institutions in neoliberal economies. The fate of society is a cultural reflection not only of ignorance but also of social and political helplessness.
