The rapid growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) has ushered in a new era of smart applications across various domains. In this paper we introduce a LoRaWAN-based Vibration Detection Sensor for IoT applications, primarily focusing on monitoring of vibration initiation and cessation of various devices. The sensor detects vibrations, collects environmental data, and transmits the payload via a LoRaWAN network which was deployed in a town with urban and rural fabric. The goal is to provide real-time notifications to users and bridging IoT, LoRaWAN, and vibration sensing into a energy-efficient solution for real-world scenarios.
