Over several years, the Coalition, in collaboration with its members and partners, has strategically advocated for research, resulting in a new trans-institute consortium for palliative care research across the lifespan. The session will emphasize the significance of the NIA's approval of the consortium's concept and the announcement of a funding opportunity. Attendees will gain insights into the goals of the Consortium for Palliative Care Research Across the Lifespan, including fostering scientific knowledge, supporting investigators, engaging diverse organizations, and addressing disparities, marking a transformative era supported by up to $10 million in NIH research funding for FY24.
