摘要
Introduction Due to the close anatomical proximity of the cochlea to the facial nerve, neural stimulation following cochlear implantation is a recognized complication. This phenomenon is particularly observed in patients with otosclerosis, although isolated cases without altered bone structure have been reported. The presence of bony dehiscence between the cochlea and facial canal significantly increases the risk of facial co-stimulation.
