This article presents the implementation of a novel non-isolated DC-DC converter for marine water pumping applications using solar photovoltaic system. The projected converter is comprised of an interleaved boost converter module on the photovoltaic input end, a super capacitor cell, a clamping circuit, and a voltage multiplication unit (VMU). It is capable to produce an output voltage of 415V from the PV panel voltage of about 30V. The proposed dc converter is used to drive the induction motor through three phase Neutral Point Clamped (NPC) Inverter for the application of pumping water in ships. This proposed system is much suitable for marine water pumping applications. The simulation results are verified using MATLAB simulink.
