摘要
Atrial fibrillation is one the most common forms of arrythmia and is more prevalent among men than in women. It is a heritable condition, and its main risk factors include obesity, arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus and heart disease, to name a few. This article explores the pathophysiology, clinical presentation and treatment between genders and the need for further research on this topic.
