The Journal for Nurse Practitioners(2024)
摘要
Background
Transitioning to the doctor of nursing practice (DNP) as the terminal degree for advanced practice registered nurses has been an ongoing topic of debate.
Purpose
This article explores alumni program evaluation data about student professional involvement after graduation.
Methods
This biennial survey focused on master of science in nursing and DNP graduates in advanced nursing practice programs.
Findings
Results indicated that DNP graduates were more likely to participate in activities involving professional organizations membership, political advocacy, and community service. Ongoing discussion to standardize survey questions will be essential to inform educational programs and curriculum development.
