Modeling and Analysis of Partial Power Concept for Data Center Application
2024 IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC)(2024)
摘要
This paper provides an extensive analysis of two partial power structures: Input Parallel Output Series (IPOS) and Input Series Output Parallel (ISOP). Leveraging converter efficiency and power processing models, the research aims to determine the most appropriate partial power topology for distinct application requirements. The analysis uncovers that IPOS is better suited for step-up circuits, whereas ISOP demonstrates superior performance in step-down applications. These findings are further substantiated through practical experimentation involving a prototype of a two-phase synchronous buck-boost converter. This converter is purpose-built to function within a broad input voltage range, ranging from 38 V to 72 V DC, and is engineered to deliver a fixed output voltage of 107 V DC. The target power delivery for this converter is set at 1.2 kW.
