Resilient Distributed Source Localization for Multi-Vehicle Systems Under Sybil Attacks

This paper investigates distributed source localization in multi-vehicle systems exposed to potential sybil attacks. Leveraging recent advancements in inter-agent trust theory and extremum seeking, we introduce a resilient distributed source localization algorithm. The algorithm establishes local reliable sets by acquiring knowledge of inter-vehicle trust values to effectively counter sybil attacks. Notably, it is demonstrated that even in the presence of sybil attacks orchestrated by malicious vehicles, all legitimate vehicles can harmoniously converge towards the source location with a precision tailored to arbitrary specifications. The validation of the proposed scheme is reinforced through the inclusion of an illustrative example, underscoring its effectiveness.
