The development of efficient Ni-based catalysts for low-temperature (<= 600 degrees C) dry reforming of methane remains a challenge because of their susceptibility to carbon deposition. Herein, we report a Ni-La2O3/SiO2 catalyst prepared by using the glycine-assisted impregnation method. Small Ni nanoparticles were confined by La2O3 on the SiO2 support in the catalyst, which exhibited remarkable resistance to carbon deposition for the dry reforming of methane at 600 degrees C.
