摘要
When charging and discharging, power batteries generate a lot of heat, which if not dissipated in a timely manner can harm the battery's performance, life, and safety. Lithium-free fast charging is currently a hot topic of academic research, but most of them focus on the problem of avoiding lithium precipitation-induced battery aging by controlling the charging rate based on the state of charge, and few of them consider the influence of temperature conditions on the boundary of lithium precipitation. In this paper, the Nickel cobalt manganese oxide (NCM) -based ternary Li-ion battery module is used as the research object to build a coupled thermal and fluid-solid model for the current response of the battery module, and to comprehensively analyze the limitations of the battery module charge state and temperature on the safe fast charging rate, and to regulate the temperature of the battery module with the help of thermal management module to improve the safe charging rate of the battery module. The result shows that the charging time has decreased by 1645 s compared to a commercial charging strategy, while keeping the temperature within a safe limit of 45 degree celsius.
