An Approach for Extracting Key Weather Processes Affecting Power Supply Driven by Meteorological Data

With the rapid increase in the installed capacity of renewable energy sources, the security and stability of power systems are profoundly influenced by adverse weather conditions. To enhance power supply assurance, the accurate identification and analysis of weather processes are imperative. Time-series production simulation (TPS) is a commonly employed method to facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources. This paper introduces production simulation methods into the study of meteorological impacts on the power system to extract key weather processes affecting power supply assurance. Through time-series production simulation, the impact of various weather conditions on the power system can be accurately assessed, obtaining key weather processes. Based on meteorological and load data from the provincial power grid, key weather processes are extracted, validating the method's efficacy.
