In this paper, we study stochastic Rayleigh-Stokes equations (stochastic RSEs) driven by space-time white noise. The first contribution is to investigate the existence, uniqueness, and boundedness results in two cases of the initial functions. The second objective focuses on establishing Hölder continuity with respect to the time variable. In the last result, we are strongly interested in analyzing the continuity in the fractional order and diffusion coefficient (or called parameter-continuity). Although deterministic RSEs have been widely examined, as far as we know, no research has been conducted on the stochastic case involving white noise in both space and time. Additionally, despite the critical importance of studying parameter-continuity for modeling purposes, this behavior has not been explored in either deterministic or stochastic RSEs until now. Our present paper is the first result on RSEs driven by space-time white noise and on the parameter-continuity for its solution, inspired by recent publications on stochastic classical (and fractional) heat equations of M. This study uses data from 666 nonfinancial listed companies on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE) and Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) in Vietnam, with 9,275 observations from 2010 to 2023. The research investigates the impact of economic policy uncertainty on corporate earnings management behavior. The results show that economic policy instability positively affects managers' earnings management behavior. As economic uncertainty increases, managers increase earnings management behavior in accruals on financial statements. The paper also reveals that agency costs influence the relationship between economic policy instability and earnings management behavior. Furthermore, the research shows that financial constraints mediate the effect of economic policy uncertainty, increasing managers' incentives to manage earnings.
In the context of increasing consumer concern for environmental and sustainability factors, this study contributes to clarifying the impact of greenwashing perception on green purchase intention in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. Using a quantitative approach, the study collected and analyzed data from 403 customers who have or are using FMCG products in Vietnam. The data were gathered using Google Forms and processed in two steps using SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results show that greenwashing perception negatively affects green trust, which in turn reduces green purchase intention. Green trust plays a crucial mediating role in the relationship between greenwashing perception and green purchase intention. Green authenticity and green transparency reduce the negative impact of greenwashing perception on green trust. Based on these findings, the study offers managerial implications and practical policy recommendations for businesses in the FMCG sector, aiming for a more transparent, honest, and sustainable consumer environment. This study contributes to expanding the academic understanding of green consumption behavior and proposes practical implications for businesses in their sustainable development strategies.
Type of the article: Research ArticleAbstractThe transition to a circular economy is a strategic priority in Vietnam’s sustainable development agenda, necessitating robust fiscal instruments to mitigate high capital cost barriers. This study aims to evaluate the legal and financial efficacy of accelerated depreciation mechanisms for sustainable investments in Vietnam by benchmarking them against ASEAN Taxonomy standards. Using a doctrinal legal analysis and a quantitative simulation of the Depreciation Tax Shield (DTS) via a Net Present Value (NPV) approach, the study quantifies the financial impact of various depreciation scenarios on a hypothetical capital expenditure. The simulation-based evidence indicates that the current maximum depreciation coefficient of 2.0 provides a marginal tax shield benefit of only 2.86 billion VND per 100 billion VND of investment, which is approximately 20% lower than the tax shield values in neighboring countries that utilize initial investment allowances. Furthermore, the doctrinal analysis confirms a systemic misalignment between Vietnam’s project-based regulatory management and the asset-based classification logic of the ASEAN Taxonomy, creating significant barriers to rapid capital recovery amid risks of technological obsolescence. The study concludes that Vietnam should establish a synchronized national green asset catalogue and increase the depreciation coefficient to 3.0 for strategic equipment. Such reforms would not only optimize financial benefits but also directly enhance Vietnam’s competitiveness in attracting green foreign direct investment within the region.
