Most agricultural crops are treated several times with different types of pesticides during cultivation and it is therefore very likely that pesticide residues remain on the treated agricultural crops. Pesticides are therefore a very important group of chemical compounds that need to be controlled, mainly because of their high toxicity and widespread use in the production of agriculturalproducts. The most commonly used herbicide is glyphosate. To ensure a high level of consumer protection, legal limits or maximum residue levels have been set in Regulation (EC) No. 396/2005. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) publishes anannual report that provides an overview of the official monitoring of pesticide residues in the European Union Member States, Iceland and Norway. This paper summarises the data from EFSA's annual reports from 2007 to 2022, referring to data related to the best-selling herbicide glyphosate.
Dyslexia is a lifelong condition whose manifestations change with age (Davies et al., 2017). Although dyslexia may present differently in adulthood than in early childhood, the associated difficulties persist, particularly in reading accuracy, reading rate, and comprehension. These difficulties are particularly pronounced when reading pseudowords, unfamiliar words, or complex texts, and they are often accompanied by a persistent lack of self-correction (Pedersen et al., 2016; Provazza et al., 2019; Re et al., 2011; Reis et al., 2020). However, little is known about the characteristics of dyslexia in adulthood, particularly in languages with transparent orthographies (Reis et al., 2020). The aim of this study was to investigate the characteristics of adults with dyslexia in reference to reading aloud in Croatian, a language with transparent orthography. The study included 14 participants: 7 people with dyslexia (PwD) and 7 typical readers (TR, control group). The results indicate that PwD showed poorer performance than TR when reading pseudowords, real words, and texts, since they make more types and number of errors and are less inclined to correct these errors. However, the most persistent and striking feature of dyslexia in adulthood continues to be slow reading. This is consistent with the results of several studies based on transparent languages (e.g., Re et al., 2011; Reis et al., 2020, Suárez-Coalla & Cuetos, 2015). In the group of PwD, substitutions, omissions, and additions of graphemes and morphemes were most frequent, followed by substitutions of whole words. The error patterns of most participants indicate so-called phonological dyslexia.
Cilj je ove studije slučaja utvrditi jesu li troškovi implementacije i certifikacije hortikulturne proizvodnje PG Težak Mladen opravdani ostvarenim ukupnim prihodom od prodaje ornamentalnog i hortikulturnog bilja kroz distribucijski lanac supermarketa koji zahtijeva GLOBAL G.A.P. certifikat od svojih dobavljača. Na temelju komparativne analize u periodu od 2017. do 2022. godine utvrđeno je da se prodaja cvijeća prema kupcima koji zahtijevaju certificiranu robu znatno poboljšala u odnosu na razdoblje prije 2020. godine kada PG nije posjedovao certifikat. Također može se zaključiti da nije potrebno ulaganje u ovakav sustav ako to kupac ne zahtijeva jer se time ostvaruje nepotreban trošak, a ako kupac zahtijeva certifikat treba pomno izračunati njegovu isplativost za opciju 1 (pojedinačno certificiranje) koje je PG Težak imalo 2020. i 2021. godine ili opciju 2 (grupno certificiranje) s kojom isto gospodarstvo nastavlja u 2022. godini.
Farmers are a significant factor in the well-being of any society, so it is important to research their attitudes and opinions about agriculture, rural development and similar topics related to agriculture. This paper presents attitudes of owners of family farms regarding agriculture in rural area of north western Croatia on various aspects of agriculture. The research was conducted in 2010. and 2021. within the convenient sample of owners of family farms via Google questionnaire. It was obtained wide range of answers about socio-demographic characteristics of the farmers, basic information about their agricultural production, challenges of institutional support to agricultural production, attitudes about subsidies in agriculture, use of agricultural services, domestic agricultural production, entering European Union, Euroscepticism, etc. There are two significant differences between Croatian farmers before and after Croatia's entry into the European Union. The first one is the structure of family farms and the role of agriculture in the economy which have been changed during this period of research and had a big influence on farmer's vision of development of agriculture and their role in rural development, in general. The second one is the fact that Croatian agriculture, attitudes toward agriculture and the mentality of farmers are changing slowly and the farmers are aware the problems in agriculture, but still, they believe in better future of Croatian agriculture.
Until now, Saga pedo (Pallas, 1771) was known to occur in Croatia only in the Mediterranean biogeographical region and on the southern slopes of the Dinaric Alps in the Alpine region. Here we give the first record of the species' presence deep inside what is officially called the Alpine region and in the Peripannonian area in the Continental region of the country. Along with all known specimens and observation records, our results represent the updated distribution of S. pedo in Croatia. Some notes on ecology, field observations, and discussion about habitat preferences are also given.
