The University of Evansville (UE) is a private university in Evansville, Indiana. It was founded in 1854 as Moores Hill College. The university operates a satellite center, Harlaxton College, in Grantham, England.UE offers more than 80 different majors and areas of study, each housed within three colleges and one school within the university: the Schroeder School of Business, the College of Education and Health Sciences, the College of Engineering and Computer Science, and the William L. Ridgway College of Arts and Sciences. The school is affiliated with the United Methodist Church.Total enrollment (including full and part-time, undergraduate, adult, graduate, and UE students at Harlaxton) is 2,443 students, although full-time undergraduate and Doctor of Physical Therapy enrollment is 1,976 students. The student body represents 55 countries and 44 states with international students comprising 16% of the undergraduate student population. The university also hosts more than 155 student organizations and an active Greek community. UE athletic teams participate in Division I of the NCAA and are known as the Purple Aces. Evansville is a member of the Missouri Valley Conference.Notable alumni include many prominent entertainers, writers, and sports stars such as actors Rami Malek and Kelli Giddish, producer/writer Matt Williams, and basketball coach Jerry Sloan, as well scientists, business people, and others.
PurposeThe study investigates the impact of sponsorships on brand value, the numerical value of brand equity.Design/methodology/approachOur sample consists of annual observations for 106 firms publicly traded on the major US exchanges for the period from 2000 to 2020. We follow an empirical modeling approach.FindingsOur estimates show that while Olympic sponsorships significantly improve brand valuations reported by Interbrand. However, the favorable impact on brand value grows in magnitude with sponsorship duration, but it falls as firm size and advertising expense increase. The results provide novel insights into the branding effects of Olympic sponsorships. Robustness checks support these results.Originality/valueWe draw on the social impact theory to propose variables that account for the strength, immediacy and the number of influencing sources for the Olympics and those firms sponsoring the games.
Visual processing speed and cognitive interference control are critical for athletic performance and Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury risk. However, how these cognitive functions relate to biomechanical performance after Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction (ACLR) remains unclear. This gap is clinically relevant given persistent re-injury rates of 20–25
A graph G is a link-irregular graph if every two distinct vertices of G have non-isomorphic links. The link of a vertex v in G is the subgraph induced by the neighbors of v in G. Ali, Chartrand and Zhang [On link-irregular there exists no regular link-irregular graph. In this paper, we show that the existence of an r-regular link irregular graph is very likely for large enough r. In particular, we provide a 7-regular link irregular graph on 12 vertices, which serves as a counterexample to the conjecture. Additionally, we prove that no bipartite link-irregular graphs exist, and there are no regular linkirregular graphs on n-vertices for n <= 9. Also, we determine upper and lower bounds for the number of edges of link-irregular graphs. Furthermore, we show the minimum number of edges in a link-irregular graph on the n vertices is ohm(n root log n). Finally, we prove that all but finitely many linkirregular graphs are non-planar, and there is no regular link-irregular planar graphs.
This paper is an expository account of cyclotomic spectra. They are spectra (in the sense of homotopy theory) with additional structure that includes an action of the circle group, which we will denote by , for torus. Such objects come up in algebraic K-theory and its close relatives topological Hochschild homology and topological cyclic homology . They figure prominently in the recent disproof of the for chromatic heights greater than 1 by Robert Burklund, Jeremy Hahn, Ishan Levy and Tomer Schlank . Those authors show that for each n≥ 1 and each prime p, there is a p-local ring spectrum X of chromatic height n such that L_K (n+1) (X) and L_T (n+1) (X) (see ) are distinct. The present work is part of my attempt to understand theirs
Dynamic balance is essential for athletic performance, and the Lower Quarter Y-Balance Test (YBT-LQ) is a reliable measure. However, evidence on the effects of exercise interventions on YBT-LQ outcomes has been inconsistent. This systematic review and meta-analysis synthesized randomized controlled trials (RCTs) to evaluate the impact of different training programs. We systematically searched PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and Embase through May 2025 for English‑language RCTs comparing exercise interventions with controls and reporting YBT‑LQ scores. Two reviewers independently extracted data. The primary outcome was the YBT‑LQ composite score, expressed as a percentage of limb length. Risk of bias was assessed using RoB2; pooled mean differences (MD), and 95
