The enormous increase of data traffic generated by mobile devices emanate challenges for both internet service providers (ISP) and content service provider (CSP). The objective of this paper is to propose the cost-efficient design for content delivery that selects the best cache server to store repeatedly accessed contents. The proposed strategy considers both caching and transmission costs. To achieve the equilibrium of transmission cost and caching cost, a weighted cost model based on entropy-weighting-method (EWM) is proposed. Then, an adaptive cache server selection and resource allocation strategy based on deep-reinforcement-learning (DRL) is proposed to place the cache on best edge server closer to end-user. The proposed method reduces the cost of service delivery under the constraints of meeting server storage capacity constraints and deadlines. The simulation experiments show that the proposed strategy can effectively improve the cache-hit rate and reduce the cache-miss rate and content access costs.
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered novel strain of coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2 (WHO, 2020). With the internet, social media have become the most acclaimed tool for freedom of speech, democracy, truth, source of infotainment and the most-searched venue for information-gathering. However, there are thousands of people spreading information, sensationalism, rumours, misinformation, disinformation making it crucial for Governments and experts to fight the pandemic as well as the infodemic. In this study, the researchers have attempted to find out whether social media is informing or misinforming the public with regard to the Covid-19 pandemic, adopting the qualitative method of phenomenological study. The speed at which information spreads on social media is unimaginable and the findings will help understand if social media is diffusing information or misinformation to the public about Covid-19 outbreak. In-depth interviews were conducted using an open-ended question with 13 active social media users, from around 11 districts of Tamil Nadu.

Study was conducted on the employees of Natural Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) of Pakistan. Electronic gadgets like Internet, mobile phones, cloud computing, unmanned vehicles are some application of IT which have positively impacted the efficiency of organizations against the natural crisis like earth quake, flood and viral diseases etc. Study has revealed that these application has improved the management to quickly respond against crisis. Moreover performance of organization found improved. Outcomes of the study show that through internet and social media platforms, information spread fastly which help to minimize the effect of crisis. Communication devices like cell phones help public to communicate timely to deliver information to the rescue departments. Now a days disaster managements departments are collaborating and sharing experiences with each other by using IT applications.
Interactive documentary is an evolving form of filmmaking which has the potential to become an influential development communication tool to facilitate social change because of its participatory nature. Study explores how can the medium of interactive documentary create participatory interaction that can be used as a tool for development communication? How components of interactive documentaries help in making an effective development communication intervention? The study also identifies technological advancements that have made i-doc’s as a potential tool for social change. The i-doc is an innovative form of documentary films that are interactive, multilinear, and participatory. The i-doc film projects selected are analysed from a participatory development communication approach specifically. Through content analysis of selected i-doc’s from a development communication lens; recommendations are made for the filmmakers, change-makers, and development communication specialists to apply interactive documentary form as a successful development communications tool.

This adoption of e-learning technologies has been associated with several challenges that span from the unfamiliarity of the technologies to the implementation or usage challenges. This study employed a qualitative research method which involved conducting interviews with the lecturers, students and ICT experts to gain an understanding of the key issues associated with the use of E-learning systems at Tanzanian HEIs. Among others, this study has identified the key distance learning alternatives, the challenges which are associated with the use of such techniques and the impacts of using e-learning on HEIs.

Performing daily activities in SMEs requires the effective utilization of existing technologies. In developing countries, SMEs play great roles in stimulating economies as well as the creation of employees. One of the technologies which are mainly relied upon by the employees of SMEs is mobile phone technology due to the low readiness in desktop computing. Literature has provided insights on the factors which influence the successful use of mobile phone technology and various recommendations were presented which highlights the issues which if are worked on properly will eventually fuel the acceptance of mobile phone technology in SMEs. However, the literature lacks the insights which discuss the relevance of the job which is performed by the employees to the acceptance of mobile phone technology. The essence of this is that it is unclear whether the roles of employees within SMEs might have an impact on the uptake of mobile phone technology. This research involves triangulation of qualitative and quantitative methods.
The biomedical technology application of ultraviolet light device was reviewed in the current research in a manner to improve public healthcare safety. The research adopted ultraviolet light irradiation to enable elimination of hospital acquired infections caused by bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens within the healthcare facilities. The paper reviewed 12 related biomedical literature that discussed the topic of hospital disinfection using ultraviolet device technology. The paper observed that installation of autonomous internet of things 5G medical disinfecting device for continuous sterilisation of high-touch areas is important in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The research concluded that installation of autonomous internet of things 5G ultraviolet device within the hospital facilities will provide a means for infectious surveillance that will effectively control the menace of hospital acquired infections through ultraviolet light irradiation as the susceptibility of hospital acquired infections are exceedingly high in the overcrowded healthcare centres.
Social media has become one of the most important sources in understanding opinion of people regarding important and trending topics. One such topic was the Supreme Court’s verdict on almost seven-decade old Ayodhya land dispute case. On 9th November 2019, the apex court ordered that the disputed land in question be used for construction of Ram Temple. As it was one of the most anticipated judgements in India’s history, Twitter, was buzzing long before the date of verdict. To perform sentiment analysis, around 70,000 tweets pertaining to the verdict were collected from 26th Oct 2019 to 23rd Nov 2019. The dataset was then divided into three phases i.e., pre-verdict, on day of verdict and post-verdict and NRC Lexicon has been used to analyze the results and extract positive, negative, and neutral tweets. Sentiment analysis of each phase indicates that the verdict has been accepted by the public.
The main purpose of this empirical study was to investigate the effects of blended learning on students’ learning attitude and critical thinking. Secondarily to probe into teachers’ perceptions on blending potentials in an underprivileged elementary classroom. A design study was conducted among 50 children from a fifth standard class of a government-run Indian elementary school. Findings revealed a significant difference in students' learning attitude towards the designed courses between the two cycles, in favour of the post blended implantation stage. This difference, which emerged during ten weeks, was found gender-neutral. The blended model was more effective for inspiring students’ critical thinking compared to the traditional learning model. Further, this study exclusively reports a positive correlation between students’ learning attitude and critical thinking faculties. The study concludes that blending was more effective for students’ learning attitude and critical thinking even in a school with poor technological infrastructure and underprepared yet willing teachers.
Agriculture is the most important resource of livelihood and an emerging field the forms the backbone of India. Present challenges of the agriculture domain include uncertain climatic changes, poor irrigation facilities, weather uncertainty. Machine learning is one such technique that is employed to predict the fertility of the soil in agriculture. ensemble machine learning techniques aim to create meta-classifiers to produce better predictive performance. The primary focus of this paper is to analyze the soil data that is collected from the soil testing laboratory to predict fertility from a collected dataset by using multiple ensemble machine learning algorithms such as bagging, boosting, and stacking for better prediction, accuracy, and higher consistency. The soil fertility classes were evaluated using 10 selected attributes. Measurements of different soil parameters have been used for predicting soil fertility. The experimental result shows that the boosting method on the C5.0 algorithm achieved higher accuracy than other ensemble classifiers with 98.15%.

Multipath Transmission Control Protocol (MPTCP) is a transport layer protocol, which transmits TCP segments on more than one path, in multihomed devices. It was designed with the aim of Bandwidth aggregation and redundant connections. Currently, multihomed devices have wireless interfaces of heterogeneous nature. MPTCP is not able to give its optimal performance in heterogeneous networks. This paper presents an experimental performance study of four different schedulers, namely Roundrobin, Default, Blest, and Redundant. Our testbed comprises Ethernet, LTE, and Wifi networks to connect multihomed devices. We have compared the scheduler performance in terms of Throughput , Download time and path utilization rate in homogenous and heterogenous scenarios . Results showed that Round robin provides optimal throughput in homogenous networks and also performs bandwidth aggregation by utilizing both the paths but fails to perform in heterogenous networks. Blest, provides best throughput among the four schedulers but prefers fast path only.
The present article proposes use of a z-model to validate learning progress after experimenting on student’s performance. A statistical map of z-values is used to calculate the z-value. This paper is divided into two parts - First examine the students' learning outcomes in various computer science and engineering (CSE) subjects during regular classroom instruction as well as examine the students by an interactive learning model in which traditional classroom instruction and e-learning modules are combined and then, the second part administers a related exam to the same group of students. Z-test is used as a tool for evaluating the results. Based on the findings we found that students' performance increased dramatically after incorporating an e-learning module into their classroom instruction. The e-learning module has now been introduced into the classroom. Each subject would have a separate test paper with a higher degree of difficulty. It has been found that a substantial increase in the learning outcome of the students after Appling the proposed approach.
In multihomed devices, Multipath Transmission Control Protocol is a transport layer protocol that allows TCP segments to be sent over several paths. We look at several Multipath TCP schedulers in this study and highlight some current outstanding concerns including head-of-line blocking, bandwidth aggregation, and out-of-order packets. The majority of these difficulties degrade MPTCP performance, which may be improved by constructing an MPTCP scheduler properly. Then, utilizing the bandwidth of all potential routes, we develop a novel MPTCP packet scheduler dubbed a Fast path reservation scheduler that not only helps to solve the aforesaid problems, but also delivers optimal throughput with a short execution time. The size of the receiver buffer or the size of the data being transmitted have no effect on the performance of FPRS, which transmits packets of data to the receiver in the order they were received. Both empirically and analytically, we show that the suggested scheduler outperforms the competition.

In a regional network, the graph branches that describe it are not loaded equally with data traffic. A branch that is loaded with traffic will depend on: the number of users in both nodes of the graph, the number of paths that pass through that branch which are defined by the algorithm for finding the shortest path, the position of the branch in the network as well as the position of WAN in other neighbors’ networks. The traffic on the branches that connect the nodes of a network is constantly changing. It is important to know the maximum load of a branch in order to adapt to the demand so that there are no communication barriers. The calculation of data traffic in these branches is possible to be calculated and to know the maximum traffic limit in the respective branches. The branches that are busiest with data traffic represent the backbone of the Network. The calculation of the bandwidth of the branch is affected not only by the number of users but also by their structure. In this paper, bandwidth calculation on a main branch in a graph is done through a case study using SEI.
Research indicates the multilingual aspects of organizations can create power divisions and rules that drive workplace practices. From an international human resources development perspective, language management is strategic and planned through the headquarters of the organization. Yet the rational ideas of organizational members are what are truly valued in multilingual workplaces. These rational ideas create power struggles and biases that are formed against individuals who possess certain linguistic capabilities, regardless of the individual’s other traits or accomplishments. These biases have been labeled the phenomenon of misrecognition. This literature review explores the presence of misrecognition in multilingual organizations. A need to determine how the phenomenon of misrecognition exists in multilingual organizations was discovered.
This research brings the relationships of human and technology interactions to the forefront in the delivery of an event and focuses upon the description of the various elements and their relationships within the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. An online survey method was used to investigate the applicability of the model amongst 276 respondents and examine relationships between various existing UTAUT variables with the addition of two variables viz Hedonic Motivations and Anxiety. The results of this study support the model and indicated that Performance Expectancy, Facilitating Conditions, and Social Influence are strong determinants of the use of virtual live events. These findings substantiate earlier research findings that show the relevance of the social context in technology adoption. This study is among the first to use the UTAUT model in the context of event technology and entertainment, especially in the developing country context.
