During the formation of the skin barrier, its dysfunction leaves the skin vulnerable to chemical damage, microbial infections, and skin diseases, which negatively impacts the child's overall health. The use of emollients, along with sound hygiene measures, helps maintain the natural barrier. The most well-known of these is Bepanthen. This medication acts as an active preventative, including preventing the development of atopic dermatitis in high-risk children. Its long-term use and the absence of fragrances, preservatives, dyes, and antiseptics confirm its effectiveness and safety.
The article substantiates the role of professional communities as an institution for nursing development. The methodological framework comprises E. Wenger's concept of "communities of practice" and R. Putnam's theory of social capital. Four historical stages in the evolution of nursing communities are identified. An original four-level model of specialist engagement ("Observer" – "Participant" – "Active Member" – "Leader") with a corresponding set of organizational and managerial technologies is developed. The sociological profile of a specialist in a megalopolis confirms the validity of the multilevel approach. It is concluded that a professional community can become an internal environment for development, transforming from an external resource into a strategic partner for both the specialist and the healthcare system.
The aim of this paper is to provide a practice-oriented review for nurses on modern therapeutic modalities in pediatric oncology, with special attention to CAR-T therapy, its place in the patient pathway, and nursing surveillance during the early post-infusion period. The manuscript draws on contemporary international guidance, publications by staff of the Dmitry Rogachev National Medical Research Center of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology, and an analysis of clinical and organizational aspects of caring for children receiving cellular immunotherapy. In pediatric oncology, the key issue is not a generic shift toward disease chronification, but a real expansion of curative opportunities. CAR-T therapy does not replace the established fundamentals of pediatric hemato-oncology nursing; instead, it requires more structured monitoring, familiarity with cytokine release syndrome and neurotoxicity grading tools, close communication with physicians, and systematic family education. Safety still depends on infection control, central line care, assessment of hydration, nutrition, and neurologic status, and rapid recognition of behavioral changes in the child. The informational and psychological needs of parents are also addressed. The review concludes that local algorithms, targeted staff training, and integration of cellular technologies into the existing culture of high-intensity pediatric hemato-oncology care are essential.
The article analyzes the global strategy of the International Council of Nurses (ICN) for 2026: "Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives." It provides a systematic review of the 10 policy actions of the "Charter for Change" within the context of the Russian regulatory framework, including current professional standards and Ministry of Health decrees. Special attention is paid to the challenges of modern digital transformation, the phenomenon of "digital burnout," and the necessity of retaining workforce potential through professional longevity and mentorship programs for "third-age" employees (55+). The evidence base is supported by an exclusive research case from the MCRSC Hospital 52 (Moscow) regarding the implementation of nursing communication technologies (NURSE algorithm) in the management of patients undergoing CPAP therapy. The study justifies the transition from a model of "medical heroism" to a model of professional dignity and empowerment as a guarantee of patient safety
Objective: To determine the optimal organizational model for remote questionnaire screening for chronic non-communicable diseases among students within the framework of a pilot project of the St. Petersburg Health Committee. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted at the St. Petersburg Children's City Polyclinic No. 73 from October 2024 to January 2025. Three organizational models for remote questionnaire screening using the Telemed-3 telemedicine system were tested: individual work with students in outpatient settings, work through classroom teachers, and screening directly in educational institutions. Model effectiveness was assessed by coverage (proportion of registered users) and test completion rate (proportion of fully completed questionnaires). Additionally, questionnaire results were compared with medical records. Results: During outpatient-based work over 1.5 months, out of 540 students, 84 registered in the system (15.6%), and 44 completed testing (52.4% of registered). When screening was conducted directly at school over two days, out of 150 students, 116 registered (77.3%), and 102 completed testing (87.9% of registered). The school-based screening model demonstrated statistically significant superiority in both effectiveness indicators. Conclusion: The optimal organizational model for remote questionnaire screening of students is testing directly in educational institutions during homeroom periods or «Conversations about Important Things» lessons. This model ensures maximum coverage of the target audience and high test completion rates. Successful implementation requires interdepartmental cooperation between healthcare and educational institutions, formalized through official administrative documents.
The periodic re-evaluation of the development directions for the roles of specialists in healthcare delivery was brought into focus by the "Five-Year Quality" initiative announced by the President of the Republic of Belarus, A.G. Lukashenko [1], and was further supported by the Decree of January 1, 2026, "Declaring 2026 the Year of Belarusian Women" [2]. The professionalism of nursing leadership is the starting point for improving the quality of medical care, a significant portion of which is ensured by the work of middle-level medical personnel, predominantly women [2].At the final meeting of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus [3], the interim results of the concluding five-year period in implementing the state program "People's Health and Demographic Security of the Republic of Belarus" for 2021–2025 were analyzed as the foundation for the strategy of successful healthcare development in the country. The draft Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Republic of Belarus for 2026-2030 plans to build and reconstruct 83 healthcare facilities, including more than 40 hospitals, about 19 polyclinics, and 18 specialized centers, for which 7 billion rubles in investments will be allocated. The task is set to ensure the operation of at least three inter-district specialized medical care centers in each region, which will guarantee accessibility regardless of people's place of residence and create conditions for early disease diagnosis. Positive results were noted in conducting large-scale preventive examinations (clinical check-ups and screenings) for detecting pathologies at early stages, strengthening the material and technical infrastructure, and improving regulatory and legal mechanisms and program-targeted planning [4]. The share of government spending on healthcare, as noted by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Belarus, A.V. Khodzhaev, amounted to 4.8% of GDP, thanks to which 25 healthcare facilities were commissioned and reconstructed [3]. Alongside the material and technical capabilities of healthcare organizations, there are scientific developments aimed at improving the quality of life for patients in need of home care [5].

The article analyzes a modern approach to quality management of medical care through ensuring epidemiological safety in healthcare organizations. The author emphasizes that epidemiological safety is systematic work aimed at minimizing the risks of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) for both patients and medical staff. The foundation of this approach is the PDCA cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act), which allows for the identification of weaknesses and continuous improvement of processes. Key elements of the system include teamwork among specialists, process standardization through the development of local regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and microbiological monitoring to control the circulation of microorganisms and antimicrobial resistance. Special attention is given to staff training, calculating the need for disinfectants, organizing sterilization, and involving patients in safety measures. Practical experience in implementing the system is presented, highlighting the importance of safety culture and digitalization to enhance the effectiveness of quality management.
We conceptualize a high-tech clinic located in a мегаполис core as a prototype of a next-generation healthcare organization–digitally mature, process-driven, and deeply humanistic. In our model, technology is not a showcase but a tool that strengthens the human side of care: improves diagnostic accuracy and timeliness, reduces risks and unwarranted variability, streamlines patient journeys, and fosters trust and adherence. We rely on internationally recognized quality and safety frameworks (patient-centeredness, effectiveness, safety, timeliness) [1–3], together with organizational maturity approaches emphasizing safety culture and standardized care pathways [4–6]. A special focus is placed on nursing as a core carrier of safety culture and human contact: nurses provide patient navigation, communication support, complication prevention, procedural guidance, and translation of complex medical decisions into clear patient language. Drawing on practices and cultural benchmarks of leading global clinics (Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Karolinska University Hospital, etc.) [7–12], we describe a competency model for physicians and nurses in a “clinic of the future” and demonstrate how infrastructure, digital environment, and internal culture shape human capital and generate constructive energy–trust, professional growth, and community impact.

The appendix is one of the factors of the human immune system – the “abdominal tonsil”, which is characterized by a large accumulation of lymphoid nodules in the submucosa, sometimes merging with each other. They perform an important protective function, taking part in the formation of cellular and humoral immunity. During appendectomy, the worm is directly removed, respectively, and the lymphoid tissue included in its structure. In this regard, there may be a decrease in immunity by reducing the content of lymphoid nodules, lymphocytes and mast cells in the body. In turn, this may lead to unfavorable consequences, such as gastrointestinal disorders, increased incidence of acute respiratory infections and bacterial diseases against the background of decreased immunity. In this regard, patients in the postoperative period after appendectomy should be educated about the importance of maintaining health and prevention of diseases associated with a decrease in the immune response of the body.
