It addresses the problem of how inclusive leadership influences taking-charge behavior among these employees, with psychological safety and workplace thriving as mediators. This research lies in its specific examination of inclusive leadership within Indonesia's startup culture, a topic that has not been adequately explored. The study employs a quantitative approach utilizing SEM-PLS and Warp-PLS software. Data were collected via surveys from 210 Gen Z employees working in Indonesian startups, allowing for a robust analysis of the relationships between inclusive leadership, taking-charge behavior, and the mediating factors. Finding/Results: The findings indicate that inclusive leadership significantly enhances taking-charge behavior, both directly and indirectly through the mediators of psychological safety and workplace thriving. This underscores the importance of fostering an inclusive environment to promote proactive employee behaviors. Enhancing psychological safety and thriving at work can amplify the positive effects of inclusive leadership on employee proactiveness, with recommendations for future research to explore additional mediators and cultural contexts.
This study analyzes the effectiveness of digital marketing strategies in a leather product SME in Malang City using two approaches: Customer Journey Mapping (CJM) and Marketing Funnel Analysis. The SME relies on Instagram and WhatsApp as its main interaction and sales channels but faces low user engagement and limited conversion of inquiries into transactions. A descriptive qualitative method was applied based on the analysis of customer conversations and social media insights. Data were collected from exported WhatsApp chats, Instagram Direct Messages (DMs), and customer interviews and surveys. The analysis included persona categorization, mapping of funnel stages (awareness, interest, consideration, conversion, loyalty), and identification of touchpoints, activities, emotions, and pain points, complemented by conversion rate calculations. The results show that most customers interact through WhatsApp (62.6%), with an overall conversion rate of 35.48%. The transition from interest to consideration recorded the highest drop-off, while customer loyalty and repeat orders emerged as the SME’s strongest asset. Interactions involving the owner achieved higher conversions than those managed by the admin, indicating the importance of personalized communication. CJM analysis also identified key pain points in sizing accuracy and product revisions, although these challenges were partly mitigated through after-sales support. Overall, the study concludes that digital marketing for SMEs can be strengthened by leveraging funnel and CJM-based insights to improve content quality, enhance communication performance, and optimize customer experience. These findings offer practical guidance for developing more targeted and data-driven digital marketing strategies within a business intelligence framework.
Increasing investment is a national strategic priority to boost economic growth, job creation, and regional competitiveness. A key challenge in realizing investment lies in the complexity of licensing, especially environmental permits that require compliance with technical standards and sectoral regulations. To address this, the government implemented a risk-based business licensing policy through digital systems OSS and JOSS. This qualitative study analyzes the effectiveness of this policy in East Java, using a framework of institutional capacity and effectiveness, viewed from the perspective of collaboration among policy actors. Findings show that OSS and JOSS systems have improved licensing efficiency, accelerated Business Identification Number (NIB) issuance, and strengthened DPMPTSP’s role as the implementing institution. However, challenges remain in environmental licensing, including weak cross-sectoral coordination, limited human resources, inconsistent spatial and environmental data, and the absence of a structured collaborative mechanism involving local governments, businesses, and environmental oversight institutions. These barriers hinder optimal implementation. The study concludes that digital innovation alone is insufficient for successful policy outcomes. Effective implementation also requires regulatory consistency, institutional strengthening, and adaptive collaborative governance to respond to the complexity and dynamic nature of cross-sectoral policies, especially in environmentally sensitive areas.
This study explores the collaborative learning process between santri and the local community in entrepreneurship empowerment at Al-Amin People's Islamic Boarding School, Sumberpucung, Malang, while analyzing the pesantren's role in facilitating that process. Islamic boarding schools do not function solely as religious-based educational institutions; they can also be regarded as institutions that nurture generations with Islamic character while simultaneously serving as social institutions for community empowerment. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation study, and were analyzed using the interactive model. Credibility of findings was ensured through source triangulation, technique triangulation, and member checking. The findings reveal that the collaborative learning process between santri and the community unfolds in a gradual and staged manner, with the overarching goal of empowering the surrounding community. Realizing this shared learning process requires the active role of the pesantren under the leadership of its caretaker, encompassing three complementary dimensions: first, the Islamic boarding school as facilitator, providing skills training, business facilities, and mentoring; second, as initiator of entrepreneurship empowerment programs responding to low economic development in Sumberpucung; and third, as a driving agent through integrated social and economic activities engaging all elements of the surrounding community. The findings are expected to enrich scholarly discourse on community and santri empowerment within Non-Formal Education, offering an empirically grounded model that highlights the interplay between cultural authority, participatory mobilization, and community autonomy development.
Religious polarization and intolerance among youth continue to rise globally, including in Indonesia, where survey data from institutions such as BNPT and several national studies show increased exposure of university students to exclusive and extreme religious narratives. This condition highlights the strategic urgency of strengthening religious moderation in Islamic higher education, particularly through frameworks rooted in Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama’ah (Aswaja), which emphasize tawassuth, tawazun, tasamuh, and i‘tidal. Despite growing attention to religious moderation, empirical quantitative evidence linking the internalization of Aswaja-based values to students’ religious attitudes remains limited, especially within Indonesian Islamic universities. Addressing this gap, the present study analyzes the influence of Aswaja-based moderate Islamic value internalization on students’ religious attitudes at Universitas Islam Jember. Using a quantitative explanatory design with 155 randomly selected students, data were collected through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. The findings show that both the internalization of Aswaja values and students’ religious attitudes are in the high category. Regression analysis indicates a positive and significant effect of Aswaja value internalization on religious attitudes (β = 0.63, p < 0.001), with a determination coefficient of 40%. These results provide empirical evidence that deeper internalization of Aswaja values contributes substantially to more moderate, inclusive, and balanced religious attitudes. The study reinforces the importance of integrating Aswaja-based value education as an effective strategy for promoting religious moderation within Islamic higher education institutions.
Education plays a strategic role in improving the quality of human resources, particularly through effective school leadership and organizational culture. However, previous studies tend to examine principal leadership and teacher performance separately, without integrating Islamic values and local cultural contexts. Therefore, this study focuses on analyzing principal leadership strategies and school culture in improving teacher performance within the context of Indonesian education. This study aims to examine how leadership strategies and school culture interact in enhancing teacher performance at SMA Negeri 2 Yogyakarta and SMA Negeri 3 Yogyakarta. The scope of this study includes leadership practices, school culture, and the integration of Islamic and local cultural values. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving principals, teachers, and educational staff. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, supported by triangulation techniques to ensure validity. The findings indicate that democratic and transformational leadership strategies improve teacher discipline, motivation, and innovation as key dimensions of teacher performance. Islamic values such as amanah, discipline, and shura, along with local cultural values like gotong royong and unggah-ungguh, contribute to a positive and productive school environment.
This study examines Ngajiblox, a virtual Qur’anic study initiative organized by Mario (Majelis Roblox Indonesia) on the Roblox platform, to analyze how digital environments produce religious simulacra and hyperreal experiences. As religious practices increasingly move online, the research explores how Islamic learning, ethical conduct, and communal interaction are reconfigured in virtual space. A descriptive qualitative method with a netnographic approach was employed. Data were gathered through online observation, in-depth interviews, and content analysis, and interpreted using Jean Baudrillard’s theory of simulacra and simulation. The findings reveal that the virtual mosque functions as a socio-religious arena where Islamic practices are reconstructed through digital symbols, avatars, spatial design, and virtual artifacts. Rather than simply imitating offline gatherings, the sessions generate an autonomous religious reality in which learning and spirituality are experienced as authentic. Elements such as mosque icons, gender-segregated areas, and live broadcasts from a physical mosque in Klaten strengthen the sense of hyperreal religiosity. Participants engage in study, ethical reflection, and social interaction in ways that parallel offline life, while remaining aware of limitations such as distraction and “instant” spirituality. Islamic subjectivity thus emerges through negotiation between digital simulation and embodied faith.
This research is motivated by the current legal phenomenon with the Omnibus Law on Job Creation, which allows the establishment of Limited Liability Companies with only one person, known as a sole proprietorship (as referred to in this law). This company is formed by electronically filling out the required forms through the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Article 13 of Minister of Law and Human Rights Regulation Number 21 of 2021 concerning the Requirements and Procedures for the Registration of Establishment, Changes, and Dissolution of Limited Liability Companies). In this context, the individual acts as the founder, shareholder, and concurrently as the director of the sole proprietorship. One of the main differences in the form of a company lies in the aspect of liability. In the legal context, both the Limited Liability Company as a sole proprietorship and the Limited Liability Company as a corporate legal entity are recognized as legal entities with rights and legal obligations. Therefore, the conformity of the legal concept of the Limited Liability Company as a sole proprietorship with the Limited Liability Company as a corporate legal entity depends on compliance with the requirements and legal provisions applicable to each form of the Limited Liability Company, taking into account the business and financial needs of the company owner. The two issues addressed in this research are the nature of the Limited Liability Company as a Legal Entity and the conformity of the legal concept of the Limited Liability Company as a sole proprietorship with the Limited Liability Company as a Corporate Legal Entity. In line with the focus and issues raised, this research employs a normative method that considers law as a normative system. The research relies on documents, primarily regulations in Civil Law, Commercial Law, and Law Number 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies to explain and address the conformity of the legal concept of the Limited Liability Company as a sole proprietorship with the Limited Liability Company as a corporate legal entity.
Experiential nature-based tourism has become a hype after the COVID-19 pandemic. Nonetheless, not every special interest tourism provider like SAREMA in Garut is able to ride this wave. Therefore, this research is going to unveil the conventional 7Ps Marketing Mix and psychological aspect to analyze the most dominant factor in driving customers’ decisions in this niche market segment. The study is constructed using a quantitative method by utilizing survey data from 210 respondents using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) to test a mediation model. The bootstrapping result was that the Product, Place, Promotion, People, and Process had no positive correlation towards Customer Attitude. Meanwhile, Price, Physical Evidence, Push Motivation, and Pull Motivation show positive correlation. Through this analysis, it is proven that Customer Attitude is still relevant as the highest and strongest mediator (O = 0.711, ρ = 0.000) of Purchase Intention. This research show that service products like tourism cannot solely rely on traditional 7Ps as their marketing strategy methods. However, the 7Ps remain as ‘hygiene factor’ (a primary antecedent to prevent customers’ dissatisfaction) while the psychological constructs (Push and Pull Motivation) need to be captured in the marketing strategy to increase the destination’s attractiveness.
This study is grounded in concerns over the transformation of local cultural values amid modernization, which may weaken their role in shaping social behavior. It examines the philosophical meaning and socio-discursive role of maja labo dahu within the Bima community of West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The discussion focuses on the integration of Islam and local culture, the construction of moral discourse, and the role of power relations in sustaining social norms. This study aims to analyze (1) the philosophical values embodied in maja labo dahu, (2) its function as a dominant moral discourse from a Foucauldian perspective, and (3) the role of power relations in its institutionalization within social institutions. This research employs a qualitative approach with a critical discourse analysis framework. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using inductive and deductive techniques. Data validity was ensured through triangulation. The findings reveal that maja labo dahu, meaning “shame and fear,” represents a synthesis between Islamic teachings and local cultural values that forms the ethical foundation of Bima society. From a Foucauldian perspective, it functions as a dominant moral discourse reproduced through educational, religious, and governmental institutions. The study concludes that maja labo dahu is a dynamic discursive practice shaping moral subjectivity, collective identity, and social order, while reflecting the operation of power–knowledge in contemporary society.
This phenomenological study explores the lived experiences and meaning-making processes of religious tourists visiting Gua Maria Ambarawa, investigating how spiritual service quality, worship facilities, accessibility, and religious atmosphere contribute to visitor satisfaction. Employing an interpretive qualitative approach, this research engaged 100 purposively selected participants through in-depth phenomenological interviews, participant observation, and hermeneutic analysis of tourist narratives. Four primary experiential dimensions emerged: spiritual service as divine mediation (prayer services, spiritual guidance, religious information, ritual ceremonies, worship timing); sacred infrastructure as embodied faith (worship capacity, cleanliness as spiritual purity, liturgical equipment, contemplative spaces, supporting facilities); accessibility as pilgrimage preparation (road conditions, transportation, parking, location accessibility); and religious atmosphere as numinous experience (sacred ambiance, tranquility, religious ornamentation, spiritual atmosphere). Through thematic analysis and phenomenological reduction, the research demonstrates that visitor satisfaction transcends conventional service quality metrics, representing holistic spiritual transformation where pilgrims construct meaning through embodied encounters with the sacred. The findings reveal that 86.6% of satisfaction variance reflects these experiential dimensions, while 13.4% represents the irreducible mystery of individual spiritual journey and divine encounter. This study contributes to religious tourism phenomenology by demonstrating how quantitative satisfaction correlates with qualitative spiritual transformation, offering implications for sustainable sacred site management that honors both visitor spiritual needs and religious authenticity while fostering interfaith dialogue and community development.

The development of executive functions in early childhood is a crucial foundation for later academic readiness; however, learning practices in early childhood education still tend to be teacher-centered and less contextual. This study examines the implementation of the Center-Based Learning model integrated with the traditional Bima game Mpa’a Ncimi Lombo Tembe within the perspective of Islamic education as an effort to enhance children’s executive functions. The scope of the study focuses on three core components of executive function: inhibitory control, working memory, and cognitive flexibility. The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the Center-Based Learning model integrated with the traditional Bima game Mpa’a Ncimi Lombo Tembe in improving early childhood executive functions. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The participants consisted of 40 children aged 5–6 years, divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through structured observation and executive function assessment instruments and analyzed using independent sample t-test and paired sample t-test at a significance level of 0.05. The results revealed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in the posttest (t = 6.32; p < 0.05), with a higher gain score in the experimental group (21.70) compared to the control group (10.45). These findings indicate that structured and contextual play-based learning effectively enhances children’s executive functions. Furthermore, the integration of Islamic educational values contributes to holistic character development.
Tourism is a crucial industry that boosts economic development and enhances the well-being of communities close to tourist attractions. Despite its potential as a natural tourist destination, the Cunca Wulang waterfall in West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, is still hampered by its lack of amenities and accessibility. The purpose of this research is to determine how facilities and accessibility affect Gen Z tourists' desire to return to Cunca Wulang Waterfall. With a survey methodology, the research employs a quantitative strategy. Using the Slovin method, the sample size was determined to be 98 Gen Z tourist respondents. The information was gathered using a Likert scale-based survey, and then SPSS was used to do a multilinear regression analysis. According to the findings, facilities had no discernible impact on the desire to return, but accessibility had a beneficial and considerable impact. At the same time, however, accessibility and amenities were shown to have a considerable impact on the desire to return, with accessibility being the most influential factor. To sum up, the ease of getting to tourist attractions is a key element in persuading Gen Z tourists to return, while facilities still need to be upgraded to improve the tourist experience, even if they aren't as important in particular. Local authorities and tourism managers may utilize the findings of this study as a foundation for creating plans for the long-term development of tourism at Cunca Wulang Waterfall.
In Sufism, there is no specific theme related to ikhtiar; if any, it is very limited and serves as a supplement to the theme of tawakal. So, people can misuse tawakal as a shield for laziness, and even the general public views Sufism as hating worldly life. Meanwhile, there is a hadith of the Prophet Muhammad commanding ikhtiar first before tawakal. This study aims to discuss the concept of ikhtiar seen through the motivation of Nietzsche's philosophical life. The research method employed is qualitative, utilizing library research and syncretic-hermeneutic to analyze Nietzsche’s philosophical concepts in relation to or unite them with the concept of ikhtiar in Sufism through the reinterpretation of texts related to everyday life. The results are, the concept of ikhtiar through Nietzsche's philosophical approach as a motivation to live life: a. Nietzsche's critique of absolute truth is linked to ikhtiar, namely, there must be a dismantling of understanding so that sustenance depends on someone’s struggle, but the final step must still be balanced with tawakal; b. Nietzsche's will to power is linked to ikhtiar, namely that someone does not know the cause of what sustenance from existence can bring him. Therefore, according to Nietzsche, someone must optimize the power to gather sustenance that is around him, but the final result must still be left to Allah (tawakal).
Adolescent delinquency in Indonesia increasingly appears in concrete forms such as inter-student violence, substance abuse, risky sexual behavior, and peer-group conflicts, reflecting identity confusion, emotional instability, and weakened social attachment. In Pekalongan, these conditions are intensified by digital overexposure, academic competition, economic uncertainty, and tensions between traditional values and modern youth culture. This study aims to explore tahlilan as a reflective–cultural strategy to support adolescent psychosocial well-being. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with adolescents, cultural figures, and community members, supported by literature and document analysis. Data were analyzed thematically through an iterative process of open coding, categorization, and theme construction to interpret patterns of emotional regulation, identity negotiation, and religious coping. Data validity was ensured through source and method triangulation. The findings indicate that tahlilan can be optimized through four interrelated components: guided self-reflection, prayer and gratitude journaling, safe community spaces, and digital engagement via the hashtag #TahlilanUntukJiwa. These components function as mechanisms for emotional containment, identity consolidation, psychological resilience, and religious character formation through collective spiritual experiences. The study concludes that revitalizing culturally embedded spiritual practices, when integrated with reflective and digital strategies, can serve as a preventive and promotive approach to adolescent mental health challenges.

Abstract This study examines the role of parents in shaping the religious character of children aged 7 to 12 at Madin Al Istiqomah. The research aims to identify and evaluate the influence of parents on children’s character development. A descriptive qualitative approach was utilized, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Findings reveal that parents act as primary introducers of religious values through strategies such as role modeling, habituation of worship practices, and utilizing leisure time for positive activities. The madrasah diniyah complements this role by providing spiritual programs, and collaboration between parents and the institution fosters a supportive environment for children’s religious growth despite challenges from environmental factors and social media. This study contributes to the literature on family-based religious education and offers practical guidance for parents and educators on enhancing children’s moral and spiritual development.
Prolonged agricultural land pawn practices in indigenous communities often create structural inequalities and recurring disputes due to unclear legal boundaries. This article examines the dynamics of customary land rights (hak ulayat) in agricultural land pawn practices and the resolution of related disputes within the indigenous community of Lebung Jangkar Village. Land is perceived as ancestral heritage with strong social and cultural significance, making pawn practices socially accepted as temporary economic instruments without transferring ownership. However, extended pawn periods and the continuous utilization of pawned land by pawn recipients frequently result in unequal power relations and latent agrarian disputes. Focusing on rice field pawn disputes, this study analyzes the relationship between customary land rights, pawn practices, and dispute resolution through traditional elders (kriye). Using a qualitative normative-empirical approach through interviews, observation, and document analysis, the study finds that dispute resolution through the kriye functions as an effective living law grounded in deliberation, social harmony, and substantive justice, substantively aligning with the Islamic legal principles of ṣulḥ and rahn. Nevertheless, the absence of written documentation and the weak integration of Article 7 of Law Number 56 of 1960 indicate the need for greater normative harmonization to ensure legal certainty and equitable protection for customary landholders.
