Educational institutions have been using different instructional tools for the diffusion of knowledge. In fact, the present crisis has transformed the entire world's higher education system through videoconferencing based online learning since only the option to compensate for the compromised academic activities. This study aims at using the various kinds of instructional tools by students to engage effectively in the learning process, and constraints faced by them under different environments (Rural & Urban) during COVID. This research was carried by using an exploratory study conducted on 60 students, selected from one of the State Agricultural Universities. The questionnaire was prepared and modified into google form for data collection. The Mann Whitney U test was used to assess effectiveness of students by using instructional tools between the 2 groups', viz., Rural and Urban, which was computed based on p-values, analyzed by using IBM, SPSS version 25. To ascertain constraints, the content analysis, frequency and percentages were used. The knowledge, attitude and awareness showed urban students were more significant than rural expect extent of use of instructional tools. Constraints faced by the students who are from rural areas are internet connectivity and lack of infrastructure facilities and require more training compared to urban. It can be deduced that compared to rural, the students from urban learning environments were having more effectiveness in use of instructional tools during COVID.
Radio plays a very significant role in the lives of young people, as it informs, educates and entertains its audience, and information derived from radio is used for decision making, logical argument, and more. Considering its importance, an exploratory study was carried out with 200 agricultural students selected from three constituents colleges of CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar through proportionate random sampling method using a structured interview schedule. Empirical data were tabulated and analyzed with the help of appropriate statistical tools by using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Findings of the study revealed that almost two-fifth of the students (39.68 %) listened radio 'rarely' for 'up to 30 min per day'. Moreover, majority of students (93.65%) listened radio for entertainment purpose, followed by current affair information and news channels, etc.
This study aimed to describe how balancing model can support students' understanding of linear equations with one variable. This article is a part of a larger study on learning design of linear equations with one variable using algebra tiles combined with balancing model. To achieve this research objective, design-based research approach was chosen. The target population of the study was grade five students at Bahir Dar town one governmental primary school. From this population, the participants of the study were grade five section A students randomly selected. The data were gathered through test and classroom observation and analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. Findings showed that most students performed better in the post-test as compared to the pre-test, and most students have developed more flexible strategies to solve linear equation after a series of learning attempts through balancing model. Therefore, teaching through balancing model method has developed students' conceptual understanding of linear equation. So in order to develop students understanding of mathematics concept, mathematics educators' should design and implement continuous professional development program for primary school teachers in order to improve their pedagogical skills and re-design primary school curricular materials in such a way that they could smoothly integrated into the student's real-life situations.
The mental illness is a disorder which appears with behavioral manifestations and significant discomfort and dysfunction caused by a biological perturbation, social, physical and genetics and other related issues. We are living in a country that most of the people have witnessed war for more than four dictates, therefore people has been suffering lots of problems in different aspects of their lives. One of which is mental disorders, the government of Afghanistan and the international organizations have revealed that most of the citizens in this country are facing mental health problems. The statistical report shows that mental health issues among Afghans are increasing day by day. The purpose of this study is to reveal the impacts of parent's mental illness on their children's math learning at primary schools in Herat city. The study was conducted from 30 elementary schools which are located in different districts in Herat city, it is a selective method, and the study is conducted on 450 students whose are dealing with mental health issues. To obtain information on their math learning status, their grades in subject were obtained from the department. There are a lot of factors which impact on their learning; the main factor which we focused was their parent's mental illness, which we pretend to be effective on the math learning. The result of the study indicates that there was significant difference between the scores of those parents are mentally well and those who are having mental illness, it also shows that those families which were high populated and low populated had significant difference.
Modem teaching practices are bound to a cognitive exercise in modern curriculum. It not only reduces the broader scope of creative learning but also undermines the chances of the holistic development of the child. Similar idea was proposed by Howard Gardner in the theory of multiple intelligences, where human intelligence differentiates into specific 'modalities', rather than seeing intelligence as dominated by a single general ability. Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence is one of those nine intelligences. Bodily-Kinesthetic (movement) Intelligence supports the ability to process information using their body and the way to connect with the world in a physical manner. Children who support bodily-kinesthetic intelligence are liable to be quite capable at controlling their bodies; they become skilled through physical contact with their environment more than through mental movements and they act together with others in physical ways. Precision, control and agility are the hallmarks of such as athletes, dancers, karate masters, professional soccer players, cricketers and actors, etc. Ecological Systems Theory bestowed by Bronfenbrenner (1979) discribes that there are five systems arranged from the closest to the individual to the farthest: the microsystem, mesosystem, exosystem, macrosystem, and chronosystem. Hence, the current research was intended at finding out the flow of various human ecological factors on Multiple Intelligence of young adolescents.
Family is a shelter for every civil in the world, each family environment influence on their members, family consists many factors such as culture, facility of the family standard of living in family. The growth and development of each person of the family member is dependent on family. Adolescence is a process, rather than a period of achieving the desired growth, attitude, beliefs and methods for effective participation in society as an emerging adult. The way in which adolescents develop and exercise their personal efficacy during this transitional period can play a key role in setting the course their life paths take. The study was conducted with the aim to find the level of family environment of adolescent girls' across residential area. The study was conducted in Hisar district ofHaryana state where two Government Senior Secondary Schools from rural area and two from urban area were selected. From each of the four selected schools of rural and urban area of Hisar, all girls of 14-16 year were included in final sample. The Family Climate Scale (FCS) developed by Shah (2001) was used to assess family environment of adolescent girls. Results indicated that adolescents from urban area get better family environment as compared to adolescents from rural area.
Knowledge and information are the most essential inputs of the era and must be effectively communicated to the farmers to respond successfully to the opportunities and challenges of social economic and technological changes for the improvement of agricultural productivity, food security and rural livelihoods. Agricultural Technology Information Centre (ATIC) came into existence at CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar in February 2002. Since then it is providing free advisory to the farming community of the state on various aspect of agriculture and allied fields. The present study was conducted for identify the problem of cotton growers by using of toll tree number of ATIC . farmers call on the toll tree number of ATIC per month. Majority ofthe callers are from Haryana state. The cotton growers were selected from the list available inATIC by using random sampling from district Hisar and Sirsa, two leading cotton growing districts of Haryana. It was concluded that the more call from Hisar District compare to Sirsa District. 45.00 percent and 37.50 percent of the cotton growers identified the major problem related to Insect-pest identified by Hisar and Sirsa District respectively.
