
Canine distemper remains a major cause of multisystem morbidity and mortality in dogs, with outcomes ranging from rapid recovery to death or persistent neurological sequelae. Individualized homeopathy emphasizes the totality of symptoms, and Organon §153 specifically prioritizes the “striking, peculiar, and characteristic” symptoms to select the simillimum. This retrospective study evaluated the feasibility and descriptive clinical signals of integrating an explainable AI/ML decision-support layer with a §153 characteristic-symptom framework for integrative management of canine distemper. Clinical records from 88 canine distemper cases managed with conventional supportive care plus individualized homeopathic prescribing were transformed into a structured dataset comprising demographics, severity score and severity level, dehydration percentage, respiratory/GI/neurological burden, supportive interventions, hospitalization days, symptom-resolution time, clinician-prescribed remedy, AI §153-recommended remedy with rationale, and paired pre/post laboratory biomarkers (CBC indices, CRP, liver enzymes, renal markers, electrolytes, albumin, total protein, glucose). A §153 symptom-priority engine was operationalized as interpretable “symptom-salience tags” (e.g., fever pattern/intensity, convulsive tendency, neuro-weakness, inflammatory stress, hepatic/renal stress, electrolyte imbalance) that constrained candidate remedies and generated auditable explanations. Supervised ML models were used to contextualize baseline severity and outcome risk strata; concordance between clinician remedies and AI recommendations was quantified. Among 88 cases, 51 recovered, 27 recovered with sequelae, and 10 died (overall survival 88.6%). Mortality showed a pronounced severity gradient (mild 0%, moderate 3.85%, severe 26.67%). Clinician–AI remedy concordance was 89.8%, indicating strong alignment between real-world prescribing and the §153-anchored explainable recommendation layer. Paired laboratory comparisons demonstrated improvements consistent with clinical recovery, including reductions in CRP and liver enzymes and favourable trends in renal and electrolyte parameters. These findings support the practicality of §153-guided, explainable AI/ML augmentation for standardized documentation, auditable individualized prescribing, and quantitative outcome tracking in canine distemper, warranting prospective multi-centre validation.
Small Ruminant Lentiviruses (SRLV) are globally distributed infections associated with significant economic losses in dairy goat production, negatively impacting animal welfare, productive longevity, and milk yield. The absence of effective conventional therapies for controlling viral infection and its clinical manifestations, particularly chronic osteoarthritis, justifies the investigation of complementary approaches. A previous study conducted by our research group demonstrated significant effects of orally administered homeopathic formulations, including reduction of ultrasonographic joint parameters and clinical improvement in goats with SRLV-associated osteoarthritis (Guimarães et al., 2025). Based on these findings, the present study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and feasibility of a population-based homeopathic intervention delivered through drinking-water systems, thereby simulating real-world field conditions. A triple-blind placebo-controlled clinical trial was conducted involving 45 adult Saanen goats naturally infected with SRLV and presenting chronic osteoarthritis. The animals were allocated into three groups (n = 15): a biotherapic associated with a homeopathic complex delivered through two distinct slow-release device impregnation models, and a placebo group. The treatment was administered using biodegradable devices inserted into drinking water systems, which allowed continuous release for up to 30 days. The presence of the medicinal signal in water was monitored using solvatochromic dyes and spectrophotometric analysis, as described by Cartwright (2016). The results demonstrated maintenance of the absorbance pattern in two groups and absence of measurable binding in the control group, supporting the stability of the impregnation process. Evaluations were performed over a three-month period and included clinical parameters (clinical joint index, body condition score, and lameness), infrared thermography, milk production, ultrasonographic joint assessment, hematological analysis, and antioxidant profile. The experiment has been fully executed and is currently undergoing statistical analysis. The proposed model expands the discussion on high-dilution interventions in productive systems by integrating collective administration, physicochemical monitoring of the medium, and clinical and ultrasonographic evaluation, potentially contributing to the development of complementary therapeutic strategies applicable under field conditions.
Introduction: Intergenerational opioid exposure induces persistent maladaptive plasticity in the mesolimbic reward circuitry, increasing vulnerability to addiction. Transcriptional adaptations, including CREB-dependent signaling and neurotrophic dysregulation, contribute to relapse risk and may reflect epigenetically mediated alterations transmitted across generations. While pharmacological esketamine (ESK) modulates glutamatergic signaling, the regulatory effects of ultra-high diluted ESK (12cH) on addiction-related neuroplasticity remain unexplored [1-16]. Methods: We therefore investigated whether homeopathic ESK 12cH modulates behavioral and transcriptional signatures of morphine-conditioned place preference (MORPH-CPP) in female offspring of morphine-addicted mothers (Ethics Committee Approval: CEUA-UFSM: 2935220824). Adolescent female offspring of dams exposed to escalating morphine doses during the perinatal period were randomly allocated to treatment groups, and experiments were conducted under blinded conditions. Animals received pharmacological ESK (20 mg/kg; acute or subchronic) or ESK 12cH prior to MORPH-CPP induction. Behavioral assessments included MORPH-CPP, Y-maze, and elevated plus maze paradigms, and gene expression in the nucleus accumbens (NAc) was analyzed by qPCR. Results: MORPH offspring displayed enhanced drug-seeking behavior accompanied by transcriptional activation of CREB (rCREB1AB), NR4A1, GAD65, DLG4 (PSD-95), and RhoA, alongside marked suppression of the BDNF long isoform in the NAc. Both pharmacological ESK and ESK 12cH prevented MORPH-CPP and rebalanced addiction-related molecular pathways. Treatments normalized CREB–NR4A1 signaling, reduced GABAergic and synaptic scaffolding markers, modulated cytoskeletal remodeling through RhoA regulation, and restored BDNF–TrkB signaling. Discussion: These transcriptional effects are consistent with the modulation of epigenetically sensitive pathways implicated in plasticity of the reward circuitry and transgenerational opioid vulnerability. Conclusion: These findings indicate that pharmacological and ultra-high-diluted esketamine converge on transcriptional and synaptic plasticity mechanisms within the mesolimbic circuitry, counteracting maladaptive neurobiological signatures associated with intergenerational opioid vulnerability.
Several studies have reported that ethanolic preparations of Viscum album (mistletoe), known as mother tinctures (VAMTs)1, exhibit antihypertensive activity2. However, the underlying mechanisms related to this property remain poorly understood. This study investigated the cytotoxic and cardiovascular effects of 100% VAMTs prepared from fresh mistletoe harvested in summer and winter, using in vitro and ex vivo models (ethical authorization number 24009, Brazil). The VAMTs were derived from three subspecies (V. album subsp. album, abietis, and austriacum) growing on three distinct host trees3. MTT assays showed no cytotoxic effects or oxidative stress induced by VAMTs in porcine renal proximal tubular cells (LLC-PK1). Regarding molecular targets, distinct profiles were observed: the VAMT derived from A. alba (summer harvest) reduced Na+/K+-ATPase expression and activity; in contrast, all VAMTs prepared from mistletoe harvest in winter reduced enzyme expression in LLC-PK1, as quantified by western blot (P<0.05). Using ex vivo models, a vasodilation in the arteries of hypertensive rats was elicited after incubation with winter VAMT, from P. sylvestris. This vasodilation effect appears to be mediated by nitric oxide/soluble guanylate cyclase/cyclic guanosine monophosphate signalling, which activates small-conductance calcium-activated potassium channels. These data emphasize the impact of host trees and seasons on the antihypertensive potential of V. album samples. The biological effects of the corresponding homeopathic potencies 6, 12, and 30cH are being studied and will be further discussed in the context of traditional integrative medicine.
Both anthroposophical medicine and homeopathy employ potentized preparations. The Complete Works of Rudolf Steiner contain numerous passages that address homeopathy and its mode of action. The aim of the present study was to review these passages and outline the understanding of homeopathy from an anthroposophical perspective. Rudolf Steiner’s Complete Works (German edition; https://ga.steinerverlag.com/#/) were searched using the keywords homöopath*, potenz*, and hahnemann*. Relevant passages concerning homeopathy, potencies, or its mode of action were compiled in a table, including references, page numbers, and brief descriptions. These records were subsequently analyzed and synthesized to formulate an overarching account of Steiner’s view of homeopathy. The search identified a total of 442 passages, of which 76 were included in this review. The selected passages address, among other topics, the process of potentization, the nature of remedies, distinctions between low and high dilutions, the mode of action of remedies in relation to the upper and lower human body (i.e., the head region and organs below the diaphragm, respectively) and digestion, the similia principle in connection with human evolution, homeopathy-like influences of planets and zodiac signs on Earth and living organisms, agro-homeopathy, as well as differences between homeopathic and allopathic medicine. The perspective on homeopathy presented here extends beyond its strictly medical application. It suggests that, from an anthroposophical point of view, homeopathy and the phenomena underlying it are continuously active in nature and humans, playing a fundamental role in life processes.
Mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, and sleeplessness, represent an escalating global health burden, frequently compounded by the adverse effects and limitations of conventional pharmacological interventions. To tackle these problems, certain medications are listed in Homoeopathy, and Causticum is one of them. It is a mineral-derived homeopathic preparation, traditionally employed in the management of central nervous system (CNS) disorders. This study investigates the neuro-psychopharmacological behavioral profile of Causticum, using established rodent models. The research assessed the anxiolytic, antidepressant, and sedative-like properties of three potencies of Causticum (6cH, 30cH, and 1M), with comparisons drawn against standard reference agents (diazepam and fluoxetine) and vehicle control. Behavioral evaluations encompassed the Open Field Test, Actophotometer, Light/Dark Box, Rotarod, Tail Suspension Test, and Forced Swim Test, conducted in both mice and rats. The administration of Causticum resulted in a marked decrease in spontaneous locomotor and exploratory activities, coupled with increased time spent in illuminated compartments, findings consistent with sedative and anxiolytic effects. Additionally, significant reductions in immobility duration within the depression paradigms indicated pronounced antidepressant-like activity. Among the potencies tested, Causticum 30cH exhibited the most consistent and robust behavioral outcomes across all models. These findings substantiate the CNS-modulatory potential of Causticum, reinforcing its traditional therapeutic application in homoeopathy for affective and sleep-related disorders. The consistency of effects across species supports its translational relevance. This study underscores the prospective role of homeopathic agents as adjunctive modalities in the management of mental health conditions. Introduction: Integrative medicine adopts uncommon healthcare methods from those used in conventional practices. The high demand for well-being among the population has encouraged many undergraduate health students and professionals to seek broader training to incorporate into their treatments. Research shows that studying integrative practices during undergraduate studies expands training, knowledge, and technical possibilities. Besides, there is an increase in self-confidence and self-awareness. At present, the analysis of graduates and employability is one of the cornerstones of the Brazilian government's evaluation of undergraduate courses. Despite favorable evidence, the study of integrative medicine practices has been little explored in Brazilian universities in recent years. The objective of this study is to evaluate undergraduate students' perceptions and interest in the teaching of homeopathy and complementary and integrative medicine in the veterinary medicine course at Cruzeiro do Sul University. Methodology: This cross-sectional study will use a Google Forms questionnaire administered to approximately 1,200 veterinary students. Questions will assess homeopathy-related issues, including their level of knowledge of practices and research, and their degree of interest in studying homeopathy and other integrative medicines. The questionnaire responses will be scored on a scale of 1 to 4 points and statistically analyzed using the chi-square test. Discussion: It is hoped that the results will enable us to diagnose the student body and help authors to understand barriers, such as misinformation or even a lack of interest. Conclusion: This study is expected to provide sufficient knowledge to support the adoption of evidence-based integrative medicine practices, such as homeopathy, throughout the veterinary medicine degree program.
Homeopathic prescribing is fundamentally based on the principle of similarity, where the physician compares a patient’s symptoms with remedy symptoms described in the materia medica. Traditionally, repertories are used for this comparison, which organize symptoms into rubrics and generate a ranked list of possible remedies. While repertories are indispensable, they are prone to error 1 their use depends heavily on the physician’s understanding of rubric structure and interpretation, and they are prone to subjectivity and structural limitations 2. These factors can affect consistency and accuracy in remedy selection. This paper introduces a novel method to quantify symptom similarity using cosine similarity 3, combined with the modern natural language processing model Sentence-BERT (SBERT) 4. In simple terms, this approach converts symptom descriptions into numerical representations – vectors - that capture their meaning rather than just individual words. Cosine similarity is then used to mathematically estimate how close a patient’s symptom description is to a remedy’s symptom description5. The resulting similarity values range from 0 (no similarity) to 1 (perfect similarity) and can be easily interpreted as percentages for clinical use. A higher cosine similarity score indicates greater resemblance. We developed a Python-based software tool that automates this process and allows direct comparison between a patient’s structured symptoms and remedy symptom profiles from the materia medica. The software outputs a ranked list of the most similar remedies without relying on manual repertorization or rubric selection. This approach offers a reproducible and objective supplement to classical homeopathic practice. It does not replace clinical judgment but supports individualized prescribing by reducing subjectivity, improving scalability, and enabling rapid comparison across large remedy databases.
Background: The immune system is a key component of the tumor microenvironment (TME), which includes endothelial cells, extracellular matrix–producing fibroblasts, and immune cells. Thymulin is involved in immune regulation, notably in the maturation of T lymphocytes, central actors of the adaptive immune response. Several homeopathic medicines are traditionally used to support these immune functions. Objectives: This study aimed to assess the effects of Thymulin 3cH and 9cH on immune components of the TME using an original multicellular spheroid model. Methods: A 3D multicellular spheroid model was established using colorectal cancer cells (HT 29), fibroblasts (Ccd18Co), for testing Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) immune activity isolated from healthy donors. The T lymphocytes were isolated from PBMC using magnetic beads and antibodies to obtain the enriched T lymphocytes. PBMCs were pre-treated with homeopathic dilutions (6% v/v) or undynamised water (control), then activated for 24 hours with anti CD3/anti CD28 antibodies before being added to the spheroids. The metabolite function of T lymphocytes and the clustering were measured using Seahorse® and Incucyte® technologies. Results: Activated T lymphocytes treated with Thymulin 3cH or 9cH formed more clusters than controls and showed an increase of glycolytic activity reflecting an enhanced T-cell functional state. In the spheroid model, both homeopathic dilutions of Thymulin 3cH and 9cH significantly increased apoptosis among spheroid-derived cells, reflecting enhanced caspase activity triggered by PBMCs treated with Thymulin 3cH and 9cH. Conclusion: This model enabled evaluation of the immunomodulatory impact of the homeopathic dilutions on TME-associated immune activity. Thymulin 3cH and 9cH reinforce immune responses by stimulating glycolytic activity and caspase-mediated apoptosis in the multicellular spheroid model.
Introduction: This research was developed within the context of the TERRA project (https://doi.org/10.51910/ijhdr.v24i1.1536) to evaluate the influence of magnetic fields on biological and physicochemical parameters, using different experimental models. Preliminary data [1-3] show that the magnetization of Silicea terra 24cH can modify its effects on cyst hatching and the vitality of Artemia salina nauplii (larvae) subjected to thermal stress. This work presents preliminary results of physicochemical analyses of the inputs (medicines and their controls) and the seawater in which the larvae developed. Methods: The treatments analyzed were sterile purified water (SWW) and Silicea terra 24cH, both subjected to five magnetization profiles: 0.24T (tesla, without field homogeneity control) and 0.24T, 0.12T, 0.09T, and 0.07T (with controlled magnetic flux). Physicochemical analyses were performed using atomic force microscopy (AFM, Bruker Nanoscope V/IIIa) techniques by direct observation of magnetic domains, measured in degrees of inclination of the cantilever/probe, in 4 random flattened fields of samples (10 µL) deposited on a gold-plated glass substrate [4] and solvatochromy [5], in which the dyes Methylene Violet 50 µM (reading at 591 nm) and Nile Red 20 µM (reading at 551 nm), previously defined in preliminary studies, were used. The experimental protocol used is described in [5]. Results: Changes in absorbance measurements were observed in both dyes used as a function of the intensity of the magnetic field applied to Silicea terra 24cH, which did not occur with APE; The graphs obtained with methylene violet dye show a U-shaped curve as a function of the magnetic field, with the lowest absorbance associated with 0.12 T and the highest absorbance associated with 0.07 T. Conclusion: These results indicate a biphasic response and correspond to previously observed results regarding the hatching and viability of nauplii [3], which suggest a possible hormesis effect. The AFM reading of magnetic domains showed high variance among fields and no significant difference between succussed water and Silicea terra 24cH. Future experiments should explore the reproducibility of the results, the effects of magnetic fields on the cyst culture, and the refinement of AFM standardization.
Background: Melanoma represents a major global public health challenge due to its high metastatic potential and therapeutic complexity. Preparations derived from aqueous Viscum album (mistletoe) extracts are widely used as integrative therapy in oncology [1], whereas those derived from ethanolic extracts require further investigation. Previous in vitro and in vivo studies conducted by our group using ultra-dilutions of Viscum album derived from mother tinctures obtained from the host tree, Quercus robur, harvested during the Swiss summer (VAQrV), demonstrated reduced production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and inflammatory cytokines in murine melanoma cells [2,3]. However, the effects of combining these ultra-dilutions with conventional chemotherapeutic agents such as carboplatin remain poorly understood. The present study evaluated the in vitro effects of VAQrV ultra-dilutions in combination with carboplatin on murine melanoma cells (B16F10). Methods: Cells were treated in a double-blind design with VAQrV ultra-dilutions (12x, 200cH, and 5lm) in the absence or presence of carboplatin. Cellular metabolic activity was assessed using the MTT colorimetric assay. Flow cytometry analyses were performed to characterize cell death profiles through 7-AAD and Annexin V staining, to measure ROS production using the DCFH-DA probe, and to quantify pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines (TNF, IL-10, IL-6, IFN-γ, MCP-1, IL-12p70) using the CBA mouse inflammation kit. Evaluations were conducted at 24, 48, and 72 hours. Results: Preliminary data from three independent experiments, currently under analysis, suggest increased apoptosis and reduced ROS levels in cells treated with carboplatin combined with one of the tested ultra-dilutions, compared with carboplatin alone. Conclusion: Although preliminary, these findings suggest that VAQrV ultra-dilutions may modulate redox balance and apoptotic pathways when combined with carboplatin, supporting their potential role as an integrative therapeutic strategy for aggressive tumors such as melanoma. Further studies are required to elucidate the underlying molecular mechanisms and confirm these effects.
Our working group established Lemna gibba L. as a model organism for basic research on effects of homeopathic treatments on growth rate. In earlier experiments with potentised substances, non-stressed plants exhibited alternating increases and decreases in growth rates following treatment with subsequent potency levels, partially depending on the experimental day [1,2,3]. In contrast, stress induction appeared to stabilize the direction of the observed effects. For example, arsenic-stressed plants consistently showed increased growth rates following treatment with Arsenicum album across multiple experimental series [4,5]. Similarly, calcium-deficient plants responded comparably to treatment with Calcium carbonicum dependent on their growth status (gibbosity; data not yet published). In a new experimental series, we will explore nutrient deficiency more closely as stressor in the Lemna test system. Three questions seem of great interest to us for this new series: Replicability: Can the calcium-deficient Lemna gibba model be successfully replicated in another laboratory, and will the direction of effects correspond to those observed in previous experiments? Specificity of treatments (simile principle): Is phosphorus deficiency functionally comparable to arsenic stress? Both stress conditions affect related biochemical pathways and induce similar morphological changes. In a screening of multiple homeopathic preparations—including Arsenicum album and Phosphorus—we will examine whether specific treatment effects can be detected. Role of the standard deviation: Re-Analysis of the arsenic-stressed Lemna experiments (and two other plant based test systems within our working group) revealed a correlation of a higher standard deviation with a larger effect size. We hypothesized that this correlation is specific for homeopathic treatment and might reflect the plants reactivity towards the homeopathic treatment. We will perform parallel experiments with homeopathic treatments and with low, ponderable concentrations of a positive control, allowing assessment of whether the observed correlation is specific to homeopathic interventions.
Background: Chronic insomnia is a prevalent yet underdiagnosed condition affecting quality of life. Conventional treatments have limitations, highlighting the need for safe, individualised approaches. Homoeopathy, emphasising totality-based prescribing, offers an integrative solution, but comparative research on standardised versus individualised homoeopathic interventions is limited. Objectives: The study compares the clinical efficacy of individualised homoeopathic treatment (IHT) and Kalium Phosphoricum in managing chronic insomnia. Methods: A randomised, single-blind clinical trial was conducted on 30 patients diagnosed with chronic insomnia (ICSD-III and DSM-5 criteria) at a homoeopathic medical institution. Participants were randomised into two groups: one receiving Kalium Phosphoricum and the other receiving individualised remedies based on constitutional analysis. Outcomes were assessed using the Insomnia Severity Index (ISI). Results: Both groups showed significant improvement in ISI scores, with the IHT group showing a greater reduction (21.4 points) compared to the Kalium Phosphoricum group (8.67 points). Conclusion: The study found that personalised homoeopathic treatment, which differs from Kalium Phosphoricum, is more effective in managing chronic insomnia, thereby suggesting the potential benefit of individualised prescribing; however, findings are preliminary, limited by a small sample, subjective outcomes, and lack of placebo control.
Following a set of (yet unpublished) screening experiments that indicated the potential for differentiating Stannum metallicum 30x, Silicea 30x, and Lactose 30x, five experiments with these preparations were set up alongside five systematic negative control experiments (SNC) [1]to confirm experimental stability. Method: Each experiment consisted of two repetitions of each potency and followed the protocol of [2]. The experiments were performed by two different researchers (2 and 8 experiments, respectively) and were fully randomised and blinded until data analysis, both in terms of the experimental series (verum or SNC) and with respect to the individual treatments. The preparations were produced by hand succussion under sterile conditions, starting from purchased 4x triturations of each substance. The effect of the preparations was tested in each experiment by allowing a number of cress seeds to germinate in vitro in either homeopathic preparations or controls, for 96 h followed by metabolomic fingerprinting and image analysis of the resulting crystal plates (5 experiments each with 6 groups of 7 crystal plates resulting in n = 210). The systematic negative control experiments were done in exactly the same conditions, but with Water 1x (n = 210). The resulting texture parameters of each image were analysed using 2-way ANOVA followed by a LSD pairwise comparisons where the preceding global F-test was significant (p < 0.05). Results: Only two of the three pair-wise comparisons of verum preparations showed a significant differentiation from each other, and the differentiation was researcher dependent. There was an unexplained, significant variance in the SNC experiments that renders the results inconclusive until a possible explanation is found. This stresses the importance of SNC experiments. Investigation into the sources of variance (eg. cress germination anomalies) is warranted before further conclusions can be drawn.
Cicatricial alopecia, or scarring alopecia, results from the irreversible destruction of hair follicles, causing permanent hair loss and scalp scarring. Discoid Lupus Erythematosus (DLE), a chronic cutaneous form of lupus, is a significant cause of scarring alopecia, presenting with erythematous, scaly plaques. Conventional treatments, including corticosteroids, antimalarials, and immunosuppressants, often have side effects and varying efficacy. This report explores the potential role of homeopathy as a treatment option. Case Summary: A 49-year-old female diagnosed with scarring alopecia due to chronic Discoid Lupus Erythematosus (CDLE) presented with a history of hair loss for 6-8 months. She was prescribed hydroxychloroquine, Omnacortil, and calcium supplements, which resulted in severe gastritis, generalized itching, and bilateral pedal edema. The patient sought homeopathic treatment in December 2023. Over six months, she experienced improvement in systemic symptoms, and her bald patches were fully covered with hair. Her serological profile turned ANA-negative. Conclusion: This case highlights the potential effectiveness of homeopathy in managing cicatricial alopecia due to CDLE, including symptom relief and hair regrowth. Further clinical research is needed to substantiate these findings and establish homeopathy’s role in treating such conditions.

These models offer controlled settings to evaluate drug mechanisms and behavioural responses, helping bridge gaps between traditional homoeopathic use and modern pharmacological evidence. Objectives: This scoping review aimed to systematically identify and summarize preclinical studies evaluating the anxiolytic, antidepressant, and sedative-like effects of homoeopathic medicines in rodent models, while highlighting methodological strengths, limitations, and research gaps. Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted across Research Gate, PubMed (Medline), Scopus, and Google Scholar (search date: August 19, 2023). Manual searches and citation tracking supplemented database screening. Both Rayyan and Covidence software were used in parallel to validate the screening process, with discrepancies resolved through discussion. The review adhered to PRISMA-ScR guidelines. A total of 16 studies published between 2000-2023 met the inclusion criteria, reflecting the limited availability of rigorous experimental evidence in this domain. Results and Discussion: Although the initial search identified 2884 records, only 16 studies fulfilled the strict inclusion criteria with various homoeopathic medicines including Gelsemium sempervirens, Aconitum napellus, Ignatia amara, Pulsatilla nigricans, Anax imperator, Mercurius solubilis, and Nux vomica. Behavioural assays employed included the Elevated Plus Maze, Open Field Test, Forced Swim Test, and Light / Dark Box. Several remedies, particularly Gelsemium sempervirens, demonstrated promising anxiolytic and antidepressant-like effects. As only 16 studies were included, reflecting the small number of eligible studies highlights the limited availability of high-quality preclinical homoeopathic research rather than database coverage limitations. As a scoping review, this study does not conduct risk-of-bias assessment; suggested gaps reflect limitations reported within included studies and not author-derived quality judgements. Conclusions: Evidence suggests potential anxiolytic, antidepressant, and sedative-like activities of certain homoeopathic medicines in rodent models. Nevertheless, the small number of eligible studies and methodological variability highlight a critical gap in pre-clinical homoeopathic research. Standardized experimental designs, larger sample sizes, and mechanistic validation are required to strengthen the evidence base.
In the real life of a homeopathic veterinarian for pets, using Similarity is not always easy, as shown in some clinical cases. As presented previously [1,2], the Law of Similarity requires us to find one or more drugs whose symptoms, as described in the Homeopathic Materia Medica, reflect those of the patient in a space and time that the doctor must choose. This choice is not easy. Moreover, we must always remember that Similarity does not cure everything, maybe because we have a defined number of medications. The notion of Totality can only mean tending towards a totality in defined space and time, and often they remain partial. Some critical points must be discussed - First point: homeopathy, by itself, is limited and cannot cure all the pathologies of our patients; however, it often works well for lesions or functional diseases; Second point: the doctor must transform clinical signs into homeopathic symptoms, typical and specific to the patient. It’s not always easy. Sometimes, and it is rare, the animal or the owner recites the content of a Materia Medica. Without a priori, we must prepare to receive information from animals and their owners, making it easier to translate clinical signs into homeopathic symptoms. In homeopathy, we treat sick individuals, not pathologies. And the veterinarians do not have to hesitate to question themselves when the case's progress doesn’t meet their expectations. It is always the patient who tells us if our prescription was good or not. In this work, three cases are presented, dissected, and conceptually described with respect to the contents described above (“Notchka” the Barzoï, “Just” the cat, and H’ice: an involuntary and triple-blind experiment).
Introduction: Research into the nature of homeopathic medicines suggests that liquid homeopathic preparations are structured systems comprising particles and crystals that are unique to their source. However, the missing link in understanding how this complex system acts within a living being cannot be found without new technologies, such as analysing photonic emissions. Methods: The work presented here builds on the innovative technology developed by Professor Marc Henry within our research framework. Inspired by bioenergetic research and Kirlian photography, this technology originated in the 1990s and has evolved into precise instrumental setups combined with advanced analytical tools. These methods enable the visualisation and long-term recognition of photonic signals in liquid preparations or impregnated pills. Different remedies were tested in a crescent range of potencies. The controls were done with lactose, used as a vehicle. Results: Measurements demonstrate the presence of structured particulate systems and persistent ultraviolet photonic emissions in highly dynamised preparations. A second-generation prototype of the detection device is currently being developed. Discussion: The observed signals and structural characteristics provide a promising way of objectively documenting homeopathic preparations. The combination of innovative photonic detection techniques and AI-enhanced analysis may provide a technological breakthrough that supports the scientific coherence of homeopathy. It is expected that these new developments will lead to increased public and institutional engagement, strengthening political recognition of homeopathy and boosting patient confidence. Conclusion: This research project demonstrates how traditional homeopathy can be combined with contemporary scientific and technological innovations. Homeopathic medicines are a coherent system containing nanoparticles, matter, fields, and waves.
Background: Background in zoology: In repeated experiments involving several researchers, it was observed that the hormone thyroxine, diluted and agitated to 10e-30 (T30x), modulates the metamorphosis of highland Rana temporaria frog larvae compared to the analogously prepared solvent 30x (W30x), both in terms of mean and SD.1-3. Physics: Studies on spectrophotometry using various dyes (L.B.), UV/VIS spectroscopy (I.J. & J.P.), luminometry (S.C.), electrical conductivity, pH changes, oxidation-reduction potential ORP (I.J. and L.O.), and NT analysis of nanoparticles (P.D. & M.G.) have already been used in research on high dilutions with interesting results.4-11 In a series of experiments, these methods were used to test T30x against W30x and, as an additional control, W0. Method: Six bottles of these samples (or lower dilutions for further processing to 10e-30) were prepared by W.S. and sent to each physics laboratory. Depending on the laboratory, repeated measurements were performed on each of these 6 bottles. The study was coordinated by P.C.E., with statistical support from H.L. The differences in mean/median and SD/IQR for W30x (set to 100%) and T30x, as well as for W0, are listed in the table (units are according to the methods used). N = measurements per substance. Results: Referring to the previous biological project, the focus of the physical measurements is on T30x and analogously prepared W30x. Differences were observed here (see table), with the T30x means/medians higher than those of W30x, and the SD/IQR lower in spectrophotometry, for example, and higher in spectroscopy. Parametric statistics (based on measurements per substance) indicate significant differences, while non-parametric statistics (H.L.) (based on samples per substance) are ambiguous. W0, as an additional control, raises further questions, especially given the large differences relative to W30x in SD/IQR. Discussion: A detailed presentation of the data and strategies for further evaluation will be provided, and, based on this, the continuation of the study may be considered.
Extreme dilutions of a homeopathic drugs conform to their Mother Tinctures (MT/ɵ). Extreme dilutions are thought to contain specific water structures induced by their Mother Tinctures. The objective is to find out the exact changes induced by drug molecules in the solvent medium. This paper describes the drug-induced changes are actually the vibrational frequencies in the solvent medium. Two potencies 6 cH and 30 cH of two drugs Natrum muriaticum and Phosphoric Acid were prepared in the laboratory using 90% ethanol. The control was 90% ethanol. Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FT-IR) spectra of the MTs and their potencies together with the control were taken. The absorbance intensities of the MTs, their potencies and the control differ from each other significantly at 0.05% level. The peak positions of the control, MTs and their potencies differ from each other significantly at 0.05% level for both OH-Stretching and OH-Bending bands. Differences within a drug group and those in between drug groups are significant at 0.05% level. All the data were analysed by one-way ANOVA. Vibrational frequencies are linked to the identity of MTs and the ranks of their potencies.
