The effect of spin-1 impurities doping on the magnetic properties of a spin-3/2 Ising nanotube is investigated using Monte Carlo simulations within the Blume-Emery-Griffiths model in the presence of an external magnetic field. The thermal behaviors of the order parameters and different macroscopic instabilities as well as the hysteretic behavior of the material are examined in great detail as a function of the dopant density. It is found that the impurities concentration affects all the system magnetic properties generating for some specific values, compensation points and multi-cycle hysteresis. Doping conditions where the saturation/remanent magnetization and coercive field of the investigated material can be modified for permanent or soft magnets synthesis purpose are discussed.
Excellent fits to a couple of the data-sets on the temperature (T)-dependent upper critical field (Hc2) of H3S (critical temperature, Tc ≈ 200 K at pressure ≈ 150 GPa) reported by Mozaffari, et al. (2019) were obtained by Talantsev (2019) in an approach based on an ingenious mix of the Ginzberg-Landau (GL), the Werthamer, Helfand and Hohenberg (WHH), and the Gor'kov, etc., theories which have individually been employed for the same purpose for a long time. Up to the lowest temperature (TL) in each of these data-sets, similarly accurate fits have also been obtained by Malik and Varma (2023) in a radically different approach based on the Bethe-Salpeter equation (BSE) supplemented by the Matsubara and the Landau quantization prescriptions. For T TL, however, while the (GL, WHH, etc.)-based approach leads to Hc2(0) ≈ 100 T, the BSE-based approach leads to about twice this value even at 1 K. In this paper, a fit to one of the said data-sets is obtained for the first time via a thermodynamic approach which, up to TL, is as good as those obtained via the earlier approaches. While this is interesting per se, another significant result of this paper is that for T TL it corroborates the result of the BSE-based approach.
We study the acoustomagnetoelectric (AME) effect in two-dimensional graphene with an energy bandgap using the semiclassical Boltzmann transport equation within the hypersound regime, 1 q k l (where q k represents the acoustic wavenumber and l is the mean free path of the electron). The Boltz- mann transport equation and other relevant equations were solved analytically to obtain an expression for the AME current density, consisting of longitudinal and Hall components. Our numerical results indicate that both components of the AME current densities display oscillatory behaviour.Furthermore, geometric resonances and Weiss oscillations were each defined using the relationship between the current density and Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) frequency and the inverse of the applied magnetic field, respectively. Our results show that the AME current density of bandgap graphene, which can be controlled to suit a particular electronic device application, is smaller than that of (gapless) graphene and is therefore, more suited for nanophotonic device applications.
The history of our solar system has been greatly influenced by the fact that there is a large gas giant planet, Jupiter that has a nearly circular orbit. This has allowed relics of the early solar system formation to still be observable today. Since Jupiter orbits the Sun with a period of approximately 12 years, it has always been thought that this could be connected to the nearly 11-year periodic peak in the number of sunspots observed. In this paper, the Sun and planets are considered to be moving about a center of mass point as the different planets orbit the Sun. This is the action of gravity that holds the solar system together. The center of mass for the Jupiter-Sun system actually lies outside the Sun. The four gas giant planets dominate such effects and the four gas giant Jovian planets can be projected together to determine an effective distance from the Sun’s center. Taken together these effects do seem to function as a sunspot forcing factor with a periodicity very close to 11 years. These predictions are made without consideration of any details of what is happening in the interior of the Sun. From these estimates, sunspot cycle 25 will be expected to peak in about September-October of 2025. Sunspot cycle 26 should peak in the year March of 2037.
The dual transmitter implements the equivalent anti-magnetic flux transient electromagnetic method, which can effectively reduce the scope of the transient electromagnetic detection blind area. However, this method is rarely reported in the detection of pipelines in urban geophysical exploration and the application of coal mines. Based on this, this paper realizes the equivalent anti-magnetic flux transient electromagnetic method based on the dual launcher. The suppression effect of this method on the blind area is analyzed by physical simulation. And the detection experiment of underground pipelines is carried out outdoors. The results show that the dual launcher can significantly reduce the turn-off time, thereby effectively reducing the impact of the blind area on the detection results, and the pipeline detection results verify the device’s effectiveness. Finally, based on the ground experimental results, the application prospect of mine advanced detection is discussed. Compared with other detection fields, the formation of blind areas is mainly caused by the equipment. If the dual launcher can be used to reduce the blind area, the accuracy of advanced detection can be improved more effectively. The above research results are of great significance for improving the detection accuracy of the underground transient electromagnetic method.
This study delves into the charge transfer mechanism of boron (B)-doped 3C-SiC through first-principles investigations. We explore the effects of B doping on the electronic properties of 3C-SiC, focusing on a 12.5% impurity concentration. Our comprehensive analysis encompasses structural properties, electronic band structures, and charge density distributions. The optimized lattice constant and band gap energy of 3C-SiC were found to be 4.373 Å and 1.36 eV respectively, which is in agreement with previous research (Bui, 2012; Muchiri et al., 2018). Our results show that B doping narrows the band gap, enhances electrical conductivity, and influences charge transfer interactions. The charge density analysis reveals substantial interactions between B dopants and surrounding carbon atoms. This work not only enhances our understanding of the material's electronic properties, but also highlights the importance of charge density analysis for characterizing charge transfer mechanisms and their implications in the 3C-SiC semiconductors.
In search of an experimental route to produce linear arrays of spins without the use of nanotechnological tools, we have doped Nb 28 O 70 with small amounts of transition metal oxides (TM; in this case Fe 2 O 3 ) or rare-earth oxides 3 , and investigated the location of the alien metal (Fe in this case) in the structure. Previous AC magnetic susceptibility measurements at low temperatures have been consistent with the formation of arrays of TM magnetic moments along the widely spaced columns parallel to the crystallographic b-axis in the Nb 28 O 70 structure. To obtain further details about the TM distribution, the previous investigation has been extended now to include a room-temperature Mössbauer spectroscopic analysis of the Fe-doped material. The data are consistent with the presence of low-spin Fe 3+ ions in both octahedral and tetrahedral coordinations of oxygens, and confirm (as suggested in the previous work) that Fe also interchanges positions with Nb ions located at tetrahedral-ly coordinated sites in the columns of the structure.

Based on the density functional theory within the local density approximation (LDA), we studied the electronic, elastic, and dynamic properties of AgNbO3 and AgTaO3 compounds under pressure. The elastic constants, optic and static dielectric constants, born effective charges, and dynamic properties of AgNbO3 and AgTaO3 in cubic phase were studied as pressure dependences with the ab initio method. For these compounds, we have also calculated the bulk modulus, Young’s modulus, shear modulus, Vickers hardness, Poisson’s ratio, anisotropy factor, sound velocities, and Debye temperature from the obtained elastic constants. In addition, the brittleness and ductility properties of these compounds were estimated from Poisson’s ratio and Pugh’s rule (G/B). Our calculated values also show that AgNbO3 (0.37) and AgTaO3 (0.39) behave as ductile materials and steer away from brittleness by increasing pressure. The calculated values of Vicker hardness for both compounds indicate that they are soft materials. The results show that band gaps, elastic constants, elastic modules, and dynamic properties for both compounds are sensitive to pressure changes. We have also made some comparisons with related experimental and theoretical data that is available in the literature.
