
Objective To explore the antivirus function in vitro of Mixture by researching its effect on inhibiting RSV. Methods The Hep-2 cells were cultured. Qingre Kanggan Mixture effect on inhibiting RSV was studied by observing CPE and counting cells with MTT assay. Results Qingre Kanggan Mixture and the serum with this drug can inhibit the replication of RSV in different degree. The IC50 and the dilution rate is 178 μg/mL and 1/54. The TI is 26.7 and 12.3 respectively. Conclusion Qingre Kanggan Mixture and the serum with this drug can inhibit the replication of RSV in the Hep-2 cells.
Objective To explore the effect of polysaccharide from mycelia and spores of Agaricus blazei Murill on IL-2, NK of gastric cancer rat and the antitumor mechanism. Methods The Wistar rats were randomly divided into five groups. Except for normal control group, the other four groups were injected Arac and radiated with 60Co, then transplanted with BGC-823 gastric cancer cells to form gastric cancer rat models. Three groups of which were treated separately by Lentinus edodes polysaccharides (LP), polysaccharide from mycelia and spores of Agaricus blazei Murill (MP) high dose and low dose. The normal control group and the model control group were gived NS. Ten days later, we observed the activity or content of IL-2, NK and the growth of tumor in each experimental group. Results The content of IL-2, and the activity of NK decreased obviously in tumor-bearing animals (P0.01). After treating, the IL-2 and the activity of NK increased obviously than that of model control group (P0.01 or P0.05). The effect of high-dose MP group is more obvious than LP group (P0.05). Conclnsion MP has positive immune regulatory effect on IL-2, NK of gastric cancer rats and tumor inhibiting effect.
Objective To study the anti-inflammatory and immune effects of Selenium-Elaeagnus bockii Diels fruit. Methods A few conventional models, such as the mouse phlogistic edema induced by xylence. The rats hind paw swelling elicited by carraseenan. The immune experiment adopted carbo clearance method and the deleyed-type hypersensitivity reactions by DNCB. Results The water or ethanol extract of Selenium-Elaeagnus bockii Diels fruit can obviously decrease the mouse pinna swelling. The ethanol extract can obviously decrease the rats hind paw swelling. The water extract can increase the function of macrophage and decrese deleyed-type hepersensitivity reactions of mouse. Conclusion Selenium-Elaeaynus bockii Diels fruit has the effects of anti-inflammatory and immune.
Objective To discuss the distribution of different TCM syndromes in ankylosing spondylitis,evaluate the BASDAI and BASFI of ankylosing spondylitis.Method Group 81 patients of ankylosing spondylitis based on different syndromes.Study the relationship between sex,course of disease,state of an illness and HLAB27.Evaluate the relationship between HLAB27 and state of illness with BASDAI and BASFI.Result The proportion of each type of syndrome shows significant difference(P =0.023).Deficiency with kidney and liver syndrome accounts for larger parts.The blockage in the channel with heat-damp has larger proportion than damp-cold blocken syndrome and stagnation of vital energy and blood stasis syndrome.It has difference between male and female.But there is no great difference between the disease course and the HLAB27 result in different syndromes.Significant deviation exsits in BASDAI and BASFI between the group whose HLAB27 is positive and is negative(P 1=0.532,P 2=0.664).And various syndrome type appears in different patient who has different HLAB27 result.The BASDAI and BASFI are higher in the patient whose HLAB27 is positive than those HLAB27 is negative,also the pathogenetic condition is heavier.By statistical treatment there is no significant difference between the TCM syndrome type and the BASDAI and BASFI.Conclusion There is no reference between HLAB27 and the TCM syndrome type.HLAB27 may affects both the activity of pathogenetic condition and the development of disease course in AS.
Objective To investigate the effects of Mori folium extract solution on experimental venous thrombus among rats.Methods The effects of Mori folium extract solution on antithrombosis was investigated on the changes of plasmins and cruor in the venous thrombus models established by ligating the celiac vein among rats.Results The mori folium extract solution could significantly alleviate the weight of venous thrombus,elongate the exsisting time of APTT,PT and TT of plasma,inhibit the PAI activity and increase the tPA activity and AT-Ⅲ activity at the same time.Conclusions The mori folium extract solution holds obvious effects of antithrombosis,which may be mainly related to its functions of anticoagulation and its influence on plasminogen system.
Objective To study the best preparation of ST polylactide nanospheres containing ST by emulsifying solvent-evaporation process. Methods Based on the result of single-factor experiment, 3 factors were selected to search the preparation with orthogonal experiment. The best preparation was judged by diameter, polydispersity and entrapping efficiencies. Results According to the analysis of variance, it showed that the weight ratio of the polylactide to ST and the volume ratio of the H2O to dichloromethane were the main factors. Conclusion The optimum factors of preparation are 50 mg polylactide, 5 mg ST, 0.3% PVA, 20 mL H2O, 2 mL dichloromethane.
Objective To observe the protein expression of bax, bcl-2 and caspase-3 in H22 tumor cells by treatment of Fuzheng Yiliu Keli. Methods The protein expression of bax, bcl-2 and caspase-3 were detected with immunohistochemical ABC method. Results IOD of bax and caspase-3 in treating groups was high, which was significant compared with control group (P0.05). IOD of bcl-2 was significantly lower than that in control group (P0.05). Conclusion FYK could execute anti-tumor effect in inducing apoptosis of H22 tumor cells apoptosis by promoting protein expression of bax and caspase-3, decreasing protein expression of bcl-2 gene.
Objective To observe effects of Tiaozhihugan Decoction in treating fatty liver. Methods 100 cases of fatty liver were randomly divided into treatment group and control group (treatment group 60 cases, control group 40 cases). The treatment group was treated by Tiaozhihugan Decoction, and the control group was treated by medicine Dongbaogantai. The period of treatment was 3 months. Before and after treatment, trigliceride (TG), cholesterol (TC) and high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C) in serum were measured. Indexes of liver function and liver fibrosis were measured also. Results Treatment group was superior to control group in promoting symptoms and lowering indexes of liver fibrosis, TG and TC in serum, and increasing HDL-C with significant difference. Conclusion Tiaozhihugan Decoction is effective in treating fatty liver.
Objective The standard for the quality control of Qiangjing capsule was studied. Method The presence of Epimedium brevicornum Maxim, Radix astragali, Radix angelicae, Sinensis were identified by TLC. The content of adenosine, the main active principle in the capsule was assayed by HPLC. Results Linearity was found in the range of 0.16~0.80 μg. The average recovery is 98.5% and RSD=1.88%. Conclusion The method was found to be highly sensitive, simple, precise and reproducible. It can be used for the quality control.
Objective To observe the effect of Benefiting vital Qi and Promoting Blood Circulation in affecting gene expression related to appotosis of neuron in rat models with multiple infarctional dementia.Methods Internal carotid injection method was used to make rat models with multiple infarctional dementia and observations were made to observe effects in affecting expression of gene bax,gene bcl-2 and the ratio of bax to bcl-2 in the brain tissue of rat by small,moderate and large concentration of Yiqi Fuzhi Granule.Results Yiqi Fuzhi Granule could inhibit the overexpression of bax gene in brain tissue after brain ischemia.Conclusion Benefiting vital Qi and Promoting Blood Circulation and Yiqi Fuzhi Granule could regulate expression of gene after brain ischemia.This may be the main mechanism of resisting the appotosis of neuron.
Objective To observe the influence of restraint stress on the expression of ornithine decarboxylase of chemical hepatocarcinoma in rats. Methods Rats were given diethylnitrosamine 70 mg/kg once a week for 8 weeks. Simultaneously immobilized 8 h/d for 18 weeks. Other rats only given diethylnitrosamine, only immobilized and the normal group were set up as the control. And another group was treated with Chinese medicine Shuganjianpi Decoction. The gene expression of ODC were detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) in each group in the 9th, 14th and 19th week respectively. Results The incidence of hepatocarcinoma in rats given diethylnitrosamine was 100%. Predominant expression of ODC was detected in the hepatocarcinoma group and the immobilization group. The expression intensity of ODC in the group suffered with both hepatocarcinoma and immobilization was significantly higher than that in the control groups, and it became more and more higher in the 14th and 19th week. Objective To evaluate the efficacy of Jinsang Sanjie Pill integrative therapy for vocal polypus and vocal nodules. Methods 146 patients with vocal polypus and vocal nodules were operated by microlaryngoscopy, included 102 cases of vocal polypus and 44 cases of vocal nodules. After the same operation of 138 patients with vocal polypus (91 cases) and vocal nodules (47 cases), they were received Jinsang Sanjie Pill integrative therapy. All the patients were followed up, ranging from 1 to 4 years. Results The total cured rates of the operating group (A) and integrative therapy group (B) were 60.3% (88/146) and 90.6% (125/138) respectively. The total recurred rates of group A and group B were 26.7%(39/146) and 6.5% (9/138) respectively. There was significant difference (P 0.01) in cured rates and recurred rates between two groups. Conclusion The integrative therapy is effective on vocal polypus and vocal nodules.
Objective To understand the toxic degree of single leaf Asarum himalaicum. Methods ①To observe the acute toxic reaction of single leaf Asarum himalaicm to mice. Animals for experiment were divided into experimental group (Asarum himalaicm) and control group (Asarum heterotropides). Each group was divided into two parts again injecting water-extracted-fluid and volatile oil of two kinds' Asarum into belly cavity respectively. ②To observe median lethal dose (LD50) of volatile oil and water-extracted-fluid of Asarum himalaicum. Animals were divided into three groups including volatile oil of Asarum himalaicum group, water-extracted-fluid of Asarum himalaicum group and negative control group. Injected drugs into belly cavity, observed the numbers of dead mice, death time and symptom. Counted death rate, gained the median lethal dose through statistics. Results Asarum himalaicum group's numbers of dead mice and death rate are all lower than control group while death time is longer than control group's. Conclusion Primarily indicates that the toxic of Asarum himalaicum is lower than Asarum heterotropoides and Asarum himalaicum median lethal dose is more than Asarum heterotropoides reported in the document.
Objective To investigate protective function mechanism of Chinese herbal medicine compound prescribe Tangmaiping(TMP)capsule on oxidize and endotheial hurt to type 2 diabets in rats.Methods The models of type 2 diabetic rats were established by injecting low dosage(35 mg/kg)of streptozotocin(STZ)and feeding high sucrose and high fat diet.The plasma superoxide dismutase(SOD)and endotheliolysin(ET)were defected by radio-immunicy.Results The activity of SOD was significantly low in model group of type 2 diabetic rats(P 0.01),but the levels of LPO and ET were remarkably high(P 0.01).After treated by TMP,SOD activity was strengthened,the levels of LPO and ET were decreased,and were resembled to normal levels.Conclusion TMP can improve SOD activity and reduce LPO and ET levels,and prevent vein from injury.
Objective To compare the protooncogene c-fos expression in nucleus of solitary tract (NTS) induced by electroacupuncture (EA) of acupoints in rats' face and stomach distention stimulation. Method SD rats were divided into six groups, which consisted of EA of Sibai (ST2) group (SBG), EA of Sibai (ST2) contrasting point group which located for 0.5 cm aside to Sibai (ST2) (SBCPG), EA of Jiache (ST6) group (JCG), EA of Quanliao (SI18) group (QLG), stomach distension group (SDG), and blank contrast group. Anti-c-fos protein immunohistochemistry was applied. Results: For the rats which were disposed by EA of Sibai (ST2) and stimulation of stomach distension, there were more Fos-like-immunoreactivity (FLI) positive cells present mainly in medial subnucleus of NTS (mNTS), middle and caudal medulla oblongata prevailed. As for the FLI positive cells expression, there were no significant difference between SBG and SDG. And there were some FLI positive cells present in QLG and JCG, few in SBCPG, very few in blank contrast group. Conclusion Compared with other points, the more FLI positive cells present in EA of Sibai (ST2) which is more closed to results from stimulation of stomach distention suggests that the sensatory information from EA of Sibai (ST2) and stimulation of stomach distention may be converged and intergraded in NTS, which could affect stomach function.
Objective To investigate the therapeutic effects of Lycium barbarum polysaccharide (LBP) on irradiation and chemotherapy induced myelosuppressive mice. Methods Mice were irradiated with sublethal dose of 550 cGy X-ray or single intraperitoneal (i.p.) injected with carboplatin (CB) 125 mg/kg to produce severe myelosuppression. Four to six hours after the irradiation or injection, mice were subcutaneously (s.c.) injected with LBP (50, 100, 200 mg/kg) daily from days 0 to 6. Blood samples were collected from the tail veins of mice on different time points, and peripheral white blood cells (WBC), red blood cells (RBC), and platelet counts (PLT) were monitored. Results LBP 200 mg/kg (LBP-H) on days 13, LBP 100 mg/kg (LBP-M) on days 17 and 21, significantly ameliorated the decrease of peripheral WBC of irradiated myelosuppressive mice compared with the control. All dosages of LBP on days 17 and 25 significantly ameliorated the decrease of peripheral RBC of irradiated myelosuppressive mice compared with the control. LBP-H and LBP-M on days 10, 13, 17 and 21, LBP 50 mg/kg (LBP-L) on days 13 and 17, significantly enhanced peripheral PLT counts of irradiated myelosuppressive mice compared with the control. All dosages of LBP could increase peripheral WBC counts of chemotherapy induced myelosuppressive mice to some extent compared with the control, but no statistic difference. LBP-H on days 13, 15, 17 and 20, LBP-M and LBP-L on days 15 and 17, significantly ameliorated the decrease of peripheral RBC of chemotherapy induced myelosuppressive mice compared with the control. All dosages of LBP on days 7 and 10, LBP-H on days 13, 15 and 17, LBP-M on days 13 and 15, significantly enhanced peripheral PLT counts of chemotherapy induced myelosuppressive mice compared with the control. Conclusion LBP promoted the peripheral blood recovery of irradiation or chemotherapy induced myelosuppressive mice.
Objective To study the influence of Qiweibaizhu Powder on the serum IFN-γ and TNF-α levels of suckling mice infected with HRV and to explore the mechanism of Qiweibaizhu Powder in the treatment of HRV infection. Methods The model of NIH suckling mice infected with HRV orally were established and were randomly divided into 3 groups by home. The normal control group was treated with NS, and the other groups were treated with NS, Qiweibaizhu Powder, Ribavirin respectively for 7 days. The serum IFN-γand TNF-α levels of suckling mice infected with HRV were observed by the techniques of ELISA. Results The serum IFN-γlevels in the group treated with Qiweibaizhu Powder was higher than that in the model group, the serum TNF-α levels was lower than that in the model group (P0.05). Conclusion Qiweibaizhu Powder can enhance the serum IFN-αlevels of sukling mice infected with HRV, and reduce the serum TNF- α levels, which is showing a new immunoregulatory effect.
Objective To research the influence of Qiangxin Tongmai capsule on blood dynamics, neural endocine hornmone and the expression of AQP2 mRNA in kidney of rat models with congestive heart failure (CHF). Methods Rat models with congestive heart failure were preparationed by ligating left coronary artery. Heart functions were observed after six weeks. The level of ANP and ET-1 were mensurated by radioimmunology assay and the expression of AQP2 mRNA in kidney was mensurated by RT-PCR. Results Blood dynamics parameters, ANP, ET-1 and AQP2 mRNA of the rat models were evidently abnormal compared to control group by false operated. Qiangxin Tongmai capsule can evidently improve these abnormalities. Conclusion The blood dynamics parameters, ANP, ET-1 and AQP2 mRNA of rat models preparationed by ligating left coronary artery were evidently abnormal. Qiangxin Tongmai capsule exerts anti-heart failure effect by improving the level of blood dynamics parameters, ANP, ET-1 and AQP2 mRNA in kidney of rat models.
Objective To observe the differential effects of Qingkailing, Fufangdanshen and Huangqi injection in treatment of acute cerebral infarction. Methods After MCAO-induced focal brain ischemia, those three kinds of injection were separately injected ip. Brain infarct area and brain piece area were measured with computer-assisted imaging after 72 hours. Observing indexs are infract volume rate and oedeme rate. Determining platelet assembling rate outside body, we made compare in the function of anti-platelet among three kinds of medicine. Results Qingkailing, Fufangdanshen and Huangqi efficiently reduced brain infarct volume rate, and the latter two injections decreased oedeme rate. Three kinds of injections all reduced platelet assembling rate, and Huangqi was better than others in the function. Conclusion Qingkailing, Fufangdanshen and Huangqi can efficiently treat ACI.
Objective To analyze the inhibitory effects of some Chinese herb components on the nonenzymatic glycosylation (glycosylation). Methods To detect the fluorescence values of some Chinese herb components in an albumin glycosylating system in vitro with fluorescenmetry. Result Ferulic Acid, B1Eloutheroside B1 and Rheum Officinale exhibited inhibitory effects on albumin glycosylation. The relatively inhibitory rate on formation of advanced glycosylation end products (AGEs) was 95.21%, 94.75%, 94.75%, respectively, as compared with reference reagent, aminoguanidine. Conclusion Some Chinese herbs are candidate medicine that inhibite the formation of AGEs and prevent diabetic chronic complication.
