This study examines the impact of workforce agility on employee alienation in the banking sector, which is highly influenced by digital technologies. It also explores whether psychological empowerment moderates this relationship. The study surveys 317 bank employees in Turkey. Correlation and regression analyses were conducted to examine the relationship between workforce agility, alienation, and psychological empowerment. The results indicate a negative relationship between workforce agility and alienation. Furthermore, psychological empowerment is found to have a positive relationship with workforce agility and a negative relationship with alienation. Psychological empowerment did not show a significant moderating effect. However, the meaning dimension of psychological empowerment strengthened the relationship between agility and alienation. This study contributes to the literature by linking workforce agility to reduced alienation in the digitalized banking sector. It also highlights the importance of the meaning dimension of psychological empowerment in enhancing this relationship. The findings suggest that enhancing agility and meaning at work can reduce alienation and improve employee wellbeing.

The primary objective of this study is to empirically analyze the impact of labor-related fiscal burdens-specifically the tax wedge and social security contributions-on unemployment rates in OECD member countries over the period 2000-2023. By distinguishing between the short-run and long-run effects of labor taxation on employment dynamics, the study aims to address the inconsistencies in the existing literature and provide more robust insights for policymakers. To achieve this aim, the analysis employs advanced panel econometric techniques that account for cross-sectional dependence and long-run heterogeneity, thereby overcoming methodological limitations associated with cross-country differences in tax structures and labor market institutions. The empirical strategy integrates the LM bootstrap cointegration test of Westerlund and Edgerton (2007), which yields reliable inference under cross-sectional dependence, with the Pooled Mean Group (PMG) estimator developed by Shin et al. (1998), which allows short-run heterogeneity while constraining long-run coefficients to be homogeneous across countries. The findings reveal a statistically significant and positive long-run relationship between unemployment rates and both the tax wedge and social security contributions in OECD economies. These results indicate that increases in labor-related fiscal burdens systematically elevate unemployment levels, confirming the persistent and distortionary effects of labor taxation on employment outcomes. By offering a methodologically rigorous and up-to-date comparative analysis, the study contributes to the empirical literature and provides evidence-based recommendations for the design of more labor-market-friendly tax reforms.
Today, with the rapid development of technology, the use of environmentally friendly and innovative automobiles continues to increase. Among these automobiles, there is a growing interest in electric vehicles, but it is of great importance for the acceptance of these vehicles to quickly resolve the issues that consumers find inadequate. The rapid increase in the number of potential customers leads to a significant expansion in the volume of data generated and necessitates the use of advanced analytical techniques to process this data effectively. In this context, artificial intelligence and natural language processing (NLP) methods play an important role in the processes of interpreting, classifying and predicting customer data. Innovative methods and applications provide significant economic advantages to businesses in solving problems. The aim of this study is to determine the expectations, concerns, criticisms and complaints of consumers towards electric cars and to provide suggestions to manufacturers and marketers to develop solutions. In the study, BERTopic topic modelling technique was used to determine around which topics customer complaints are concentrated. As a data set, the complaints made to a electric car company between 1 January 2024 and 1 January 2025 were classified and analysed. The findings obtained can contribute to businesses to better meet customer expectations for electric cars and positively influence their purchasing behaviour.
