In continuation of previously published results, we are currently building a mathematical model of a remote monitoring module for overhead power line poles by measuring a lean angle. For the purpose of this research, we found input and output variables for the said remote monitoring module and created a model of lean angle dynamics along and across a pole. The results of this research are already being tested by utility companies.
Data redundancy is a common approach to improve reliability of information and measurement systems. Design of information and measurement systems is an important step when the proper effect of data redundancy on accuracy of measurements needs to be established. This research involved studying of correlation of direct and indirect redundancy and accuracy of measurements.
Uneven power consumption in electrical grids is challenging for maintaining daily power load schedule. Existing power generation facilities are required to contribute to electrical load control. This paper is a result of efficiency evaluation for a combined-cycle cogeneration plant under a variable mode based on equivalent operating hours and equipment wear and tear for PGU-4T turbine as an example.
Tunnel boring machines used for subway construction are extremely energy-intensive. The results of power consumption evaluation for subway tunnel boring machines are presented in this paper. Methods of power load analysis were compared and a concept of a two-tiered power load schedule was created taking into account uneven power load distribution in a processing cycle. In order to compare, we have created an ideal cycle power load schedule. Based on the results, we gave certain recommendations on energy efficiency evaluation for tunnel boring machines.
Today, more employees are working remotely than ever before. Remote work poses unique security challenges for companies including data privacy assurance challenges. In this paper, current statistics of national and international expert communities demonstrates resent trends and practices in personal data privacy assurance. The author’s experiences of information security audits show certain violations of current regulatory limits. The results presented in this paper can be used for planning, conducting, and evaluating information during security audits, especially when it comes to personal data.
