Coronaviruses area unit a various cluster of viruses infecting many alternative animals, and that they will cause delicate to severe metastasis infections in humans. In 2002 and 2012, severally, 2 extremely unhealthful coronaviruses with animal disease origin, severe acute metastasis syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) and geographic area metastasis syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV), emerged in humans and caused fatal respiratory disorder, creating rising coronaviruses a replacement public health concern within the ordinal century [1]. At the tip of 2019, a unique coronavirus selected as SARS-CoV-2 emerged within the town of metropolis, China, and caused a deadly disease of surprising virus infection. Being extremely transmissible, this novel coronavirus sickness, conjointly called coronavirus sickness 2019 (COVID-19), has unfold quick everywhere the planet [2,3]. it's irresistibly surpassed respiratory illness and MERS in terms of each the quantity of infected individuals and therefore the abstraction vary of epidemic areas
Human genetic variation is that the genetic variations in and among populations. There is also multiple variants of any given cistron within the human population (alleles), a state of affairs referred to as polymorphism. No two humans are genetically identical. Even monozygotic twins (who develop from one zygote) have infrequent cistrontic variations thanks to mutations occurring throughout development and gene copy-number variation. variations between people, even closely connected people, are the key to techniques like process. to be told the fundamental genetic mechanisms that determines the traits expressed by people in a very population
Computational biology, a term coined from analogy to the role of computing within the physical sciences, is currently coming back into its own as a serious component of latest biological and medical specialty analysis. Scientific discipline and process science offer essential tools for next generation biology efforts, from focusing the direction of experimental studies to providing data and insight that can't rather be obtained. Going on the far side the revolution in biology mirrored within the successes of the ordination project and driven by the ability of biology techniques, process approaches can offer AN underpinning for the mixing of broad disciplines for development of a quantitative systems approach to understanding the mechanisms within the lifetime of the cell.
The Plasmodium vivax dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) and dihydropteroate synthetase (DHPS) are enzymes of central importance in parasite metabolism. The dhfr and dhps gene mutations are known to be associated with sulphadoxine/ pyrimethamine (SP) resistance. The aim of this study is to investigate the single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) associated with these mutations and to determine their nature and distributions. A total number of 390 pregnant women were recruited, 336 of them were taking SP while 54 of the pregnant women were using other anti-malaria drugs for treatment of malaria. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique was used to characterize the specie of the isolated plasmodium while Sanger sequencing method of molecular genotyping was adopted for the subjection of the Plasmodium to resistance studies using dhfr and dhps genes to identify possible mutations. We observed that about 64.86% sites of dhfr gene and 91.9% sites of dhps gene are polymorphic. Nonsynonymous mutation and biallelic polymorphisms were associated with the dhfr gene, which causes resistance to SP by Plasmodium vivax, since such mutation affects the coding sequence.
DNA is understood as polymer. It's associate chemical compound that encompasses a distinctive molecular structure. it's found altogether prokaryotic cells and eukaryotic cells. “DNA may be a cluster of molecules that's to blame for carrying and sending the hereditary materials or the genetic directions from folks to offsprings.” The deoxyribonucleic acid gift within the mitochondria of the cell is termed as mitochondrial deoxyribonucleic acid. It's transmissible from the mother to the kid. In humans, there square measure about 16000 base pairs of mitochondrial deoxyribonucleic acid. Similarly, plastids have their own deoxyribonucleic acid, and that they play a vital role in chemical action.
