Aim: To remove the colour and COD of two reactive dyes namely reactive blue and yellow by Fenton and modified Fenton processes. Materials and Methods: The total number of groups used in this study is two (Control group N = 16 and Experimental group N = 16).The sample size was taken as 16 after being calculated for a pre-test power of 80% with an alpha value of 0.05 in clinical.com. The removal of colour and COD of two reactive dyes by Fenton process and modified fenton process was carried out. Results and Discussion: Colour removal upto 90% and 95% by Fenton and modified Fenton Processes respectively. The best COD removal efficiencies were 65.54 %, and 57.92% in the case of reactive yellow and reactive blue dyes in the Modified Fenton Process respectively. In the modified fenton process steel scrap is replaced instead of FeSO4. Conclusion: Compared to the Fenton process, the modified Fenton process has more percentage of colour and COD removal within the limits of the study.
The Arduino UNO microcontroller based smart portable soil testing system is developed to determine the values like pH content and moisture level. This can be done using the sensor respectively to check the values. The GSM Module which uses the mobile communication to communicate the value to the given mobile. The communication method used here to retrieve the values whenever it is necessary and after getting the values it would be displayed in LCD. Then when the button is pressed, the GSM starts to work, search for the signal and after responding to the signal the values are sent to the registered mobile. This method would be easier to check the value of soil so that it will be viewed whenever the values are needed. It describes that the values are available at our doorstep because it is smart portable monitoring system. This project helps us to create a new idea to do further additional functions that can be done.
Aim: To improve the detection rate of fungal disease in cabbage leaf images using the adaptive thresholding algorithm in terms of accuracy and sensitivity. Materials and methods: The accuracy and sensitivity of adaptive thresholding algorithm (n=272) was compared with thresholding algorithm (n=272) with p-value 0.8 and appears to be improved the detection rate of fungal disease in cabbage in terms of accuracy and sensitivity in the MATLAB simulation tool. Result: The adaptive thresholding algorithm has appeared to be accuracy (80.5%) and sensitivity (93.5%) than the thresholding algorithm accuracy(62.7%) and sensitivity(43.1%). Adaptive thresholding algorithm has appeared to be accuracy (p=0.26) and sensitivity (p=0.614) compared with the thresholding algorithm. Conclusion: It appears to be that the detection rate is better using adaptive thresholding algorithm compared with thresholding algorithm in terms of accuracy and sensitivity.
DC-DC Converters are used for storage of energy from renewable energy resources. These converters uses zero voltage switching concept to reduce the losses. In order to increase the operating range of the converter duty ratio is varied using effective control technique. By changing the duty ratio with transformer in the output, zero switching losses can be obtained over the full range of duty cycle by the voltage second balancing. Analysis of two port and three port converters is done and simulated to verify the analysis.
This paper aims to analyse the potential of "smart city" management facilitated through the integration of economic-legal and technological tools.Based on an expert survey, measures are identified to integrate economic-legal and technological tools in the concept of "smart city" management, and a model of "smart city" management is developed. Foreign practices of "smart city" management are reviewed in the context of raising environmental and ecosystem sustainability. It is shown that "smart city" management is contingent upon the implementation of specific measures to integrate economic-legal and technological tools, as well as on the development of a model of "smart city" management and adoption of existing foreign practices in raising environmental and ecosystem sustainability
