This paper is devoted to the assessment of potentials and prospects of population-based cancer registry of Tomsk region. Based on the analysis of diagnostic and treatment quality rates as well as survival rates calculated on the basis of depersonalized data of cancer registry, the current state of cancer care in Tomsk region was assessed. Recommendations for improving automated monitoring of cancer patients have been suggested
