摘要
The article presents a review of works of domestic authors, devoted to the quality and duration of sleep, impact of sleep on mental and physiological health and the academic performance of students. Sleep is an important component of physiological health and the disturbance of its quality or duration have a negative impact both on health and on the health and academic performance of students. A certain influence on the duration of sleep chronotypes have and course load, justifying late bedtimes among students. Special attention should be paid to the prevalence of such phenomena as sleep disorders, having both physiological and mental nature. Various sleep disorders occur in almost half of the students. Most of the students is found poor quality of morning awakening associated with late bedtimes.
