E-collaboration andcollaborative systems bring geographically dispersed teamstogether, andsupport communication, coordination andcooperation amongthe enterprises. Basedonthecollaborative design system developed bytheauthor's labforsomeautomotive parts company inChina, several keytechnologies fordevelopingEnterprise Collaborative Manufacturing Platform (ECMP)arepresented. A multi-layer architecture of ECMP isestablished, andtheworkflow ofECMP isdesigned. Theapplication integration withWebServices technology isexplained. Afour-layered ontology model forinformation description inECMP isproposed. The method ofconstructing dynamic alliance based onmultiagent theory, andthestrategies oftask scheduling optimization arediscussed. Finally, anapplication caseof ECMPprototypical system isintroduced.
