Statins decrease serum lipid levels and increase nitric oxide synthesis and activity. On the contrary, long term decrease of serum lipid levels results in increasing parasympthathetic activity. In the present study, we aimed to investigate the effect of statin treatment on autonomic tests and erectile function in patients with hiperlipidemia.
