¿Son Las Candidaturas Comunes Una Alternativa a Las Coaliciones Electorales? Un Estudio Comparado De Las Elecciones Locales De 2024 En México

Common candidacies are a form of electoral alliance present in Mexico's electoral organization exclusively at the local level. As they are not contemplated by national electoral regulations, their regulation falls solely within the state jurisdiction. The hypothesis supports that local political parties will find greater incentives to register their candidacies through this mechanism than through electoral coalitions, provided they require fewer guidelines. The regulations of Mexico's states, as well as the registration of candidacies for the 2024 local elections, are comparatively reviewed. A qualitative comparative analysis (QCA) is applied, evaluating the causal conditions that may be significant for the registration of common candidacies.
