Objective:To investigate the inhibitory effect and the related mechanism of Yiqi Jianpi Fang on aberrant crypt focus (ACF) in Wister rat colorectal cancer model.Methods:50 Wistar rats were randomly divided into 5 groups:TCM low dose group(TCM solution diluted 3 times,5 mL/kg daily gastric volume),TCM middle dose group (5 mL/kg daily gastric volume),TCM high dose group (15 mL/kg daily gastric volume),model group,normal group.With 10 rats in each group.The colorectal tissues were observed under microscope after methylene blue staining by immunohistochemistry method.Results:Compared with the model group,the number of ACF and large ACF in each TCM group were decreased (P<0.05),and the number of ACF in the TCM middle dose group reduced most obvious,and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The proliferation indexs of PCNA in intestinal gland cells 24 h and 48 h after modeling in the TCM groups were higher than those in the model group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The apoptosis index of intestinal gland cells 24 h and 48 h after modeling in the TCM groups were higher than those in the model group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The ectopic expression of β-catenin in TCM groups were lower than that in the model group,and it was highest in the high dose group,than was the low dose group,and the middle group was lowest(P<0.05).The expression of MMP-7 in TCM groups were lower than that in the model group,and it was highest in the low dose group,than was the high dose group,and the middle dose group was lowest (P<0.05).Conclusion:Yiqi Jianpi Fang can significantly reduce the number of ACF in Wister rats,inhibit the activation of Wnt signaling in colorectal cancer,reduce the incidence of colorectal cancer,and have a certain preventive effect.
Objective To observe the effect of alanyl-glutamine(as nutritional support) on the levels of serum albumin(ALB),transferrin(TRF),prealbumin(PAB) of cancer cachexia patients.Methods 52 cancer cachexia patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 26 patients in each group.All patients were treated with routine nutritional support on the first day,while additional alanyl-glutamine supportive care was added to treatment group for 14 days.Control group was treated with traditional methods of nutritional support.Detection of ALB,TRF and PAB level for two groups were conducted before treatment and at 15 th day after treatment.Results After treatment,ALB,TRF and PAB level of both groups increased; With the comparison of ALB and PAB levels,the differences between two groups were statistically significant(P 0.01).Conclusion Alanyl-glutamine can improve nutritional status for cancer cachexia patients,which relatively eases cachexia status of patients.
Objective To observe the effects of capsule for invigorating qi and blood in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.Methods Non-small cell lung cancer patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.Both groups were treated by two cycles of gemcitabine plus cisplatin chemotherapy,which is using gemcitabine 1000 mg/m2 plus cisplatin 75 mg/m2 by intravenous once for the first day,repeated once every three weeks.Three weeks was a cycle.In the week before chemotherapy,treatment group was us ing capsule for invigorating qi and blood by oral,three capsules each time,three times a day,for eight weeks.Results Kamofsky score in treatment group increased more than control group,the difference between the two groups was sig nificant(P 0.05).Effective rate in the treatment group and control group were 42.9% and 34.3% respectively,but there was no significant difference(P 0.05).Compared with control group,the incidence of hemoglobin reducing in treatment group was significantly decreased(P 0.05).Conclusion The efficacy of capsule for invigorating qi and blood with GP regimen was similar to simple GP regimen in treatment of lung cancer,but the former can significantly improve quality of life of the patients,prevent bone marrow suppression,and increase hemoglobin levels.
